Chicago Victory Speech from Obama
November 5th, 2008I have just watched President Obama’s victory speech from Chicago.
The speech was emotional, intelligent, caring, sincere, generous, well-judged and cool. This is the measure of Barack Obama. Americans can be proud of their president-elect and of a political system that made his election possible.
At this defining moment in history, we should celebrate that the human spirit can rise above cynicism, and that truth and intelligence can still win through.
For those of us who will go to work today with a new spring in our step, we can look to Obama as an example of someone whose belief structure and presentation coincide. His oratory works because what you see and hear is what you get. Belief, not PR, has carried the day.
