In an age where an endless amount of information is published, publishers have a particular responsibility of care, I feel. And this applies all the more if you are publishing to a list.
Some marketers are publishing to their list two or three times a day. I try to only write sparingly, respecting the fact that you mostly don’t need my intrusion into your life or your business! If you have a list of 13,000, as we do, and you recommend a video that is 10 minutes long, you could be wasting your readers a considerable amount of time.
But sometimes it’s good to take some time out from your business and think about it at a tangent. This video by Ken Robinson is possibly more about education than enterprise and it offers no clear solutions. But I would argue that it has high relevance for anyone deciding in what direction to take their business. I would be interested in your thoughts on this video.
