Innovative Econofrost Night Cover “Selling like hotcakes to keep things cool”

November 29th, 2007

Energy efficient night covers for refrigerated display cabinets

SHAWNIGAN LAKE, BC November 25, 2007— Western Grocer, a long-established Canadian retail publication, August edition, features Econofrost night covers in “What’s Cool in Cooling.” The article showcases Econofrost as an innovative technology for refrigeration storage systems to help grocers protect their profit margins, leading the way to reduced energy expenditures while maintaining food storage safety, customer satisfaction and profitability.

Western Grocer’s Colleen Stewart announced that sales of Econofrost woven aluminum night covers for refrigerated product display cases are “taking off globally in a big way.” Jamie Orr, key account manager for Econofrost reports that “new installations in perishable food merchandisers are saving more than the full cost of the Econofrost installation in a matter of weeks,” with demonstrated payback periods of three to eighteen months when a store is closed a minimum of 60 hours a week.

How do Econofrost night curtains work? The benefits are accomplished overnight. Made from a woven heat reflective material, Econofrost night covers stabilize cool temperatures in open refrigeration cases to reduce energy losses while a store is closed. Better temperature and humidity control prolongs the shelf life of refrigerated merchandise and decreases the energy load on refrigeration equipment.

Independent laboratory tests have proven direct energy savings of up to 36% during the hours used from lower heating and air conditioning costs. Econofrost night covers can be specified as an option from most manufacturers of commercial refrigeration equipment or ordered for retrofits.

Econofrost has served the supermarket industry since 1975 and made over 250,000 installations in nearly 30 countries. Market Group Ventures, Inc., the parent corporation for Econofrost and Promolux Lighting International, is a world leader in providing retail technology solutions for merchandisers.

Automated Marketing Platform, Reverse Funnel System, boosts Home Business incomes

November 27th, 2007

The revolutionary Reverse Funnel System is making it easier for online business owners to earn money right from home. The automated system can be successfully used by anyone—even if they don’t have any prior business experience.

Hatfield, Pa. (PRWeb) November 26, 2007 – Thanks to the Reverse Funnel System, home-based business marketers have an easy way to enhance their sales and income—automatically.

The Reverse Funnel System is a funded proposal system that can explode incomes of even the newest home business marketers, according to JHBLifestyles President, Julie Booz, whose company is capitalizing on the system. The Reverse Funnel System can be successfully used by anyone—regardless of their previous skill, knowledge, or experience—and it will work the same way for everyone who uses it, Booz said.

“All you need to do is market the system,” she added. “Combine that with all of the marketing skills and training you receive by joining my company, and you’ll soon be on your way to a six-figure income. Truly, the only way to fail with this system is by quitting.”

JHBLifestyles is using the fully-automated Reverse Funnel System to promote one of its premium home business opportunities: Global Resorts Network (GRN). Currently, GRN is selling at 70 percent under retail value. Its affiliates can earn $1,000 for every Platinum sale plus bonuses, making it possible to earn $250,000 to $350,000 within their first year. ”Take all of that; add to it a marketing platform that practically sells the product for you without any previous experience, and the possibilities are limitless,” Booz said. “Hands down, you won’t find a better travel membership/program anywhere for the price.”

Increasingly, Booz said, people are looking to trade in the corporate rat race for a home-based business that can offer financial freedom and a better quality of life. GRN and other home business opportunities offered by JHBLifestyles is helping them reach their personal and business goals. “I provide the marketing skills needed to drive the traffic to their Website,” Booz said. “I also provide an extremely strong support group for my entire team.

The general public is under the impression that most online business are a scam because of the statistics that most fail, Booz said. But the failure is because of a lack of knowing how to market your product, not the business itself. “That may have been true in past years, but it is not today’s reality,” she explained. “I educate my team members on the ins and outs of this business, so they have clear and realistic expectations no matter what home business opportunity they choose.”

Booz—a Microsoft Certified Professional with extensive business management expertise—also offers specialized IT advice to help members of her team who may be new to the Internet. “This is the biggest challenge that many of my team members face,” she explained. “Knowing that I can help them with their computer needs gives them confidence in joining with me, as I can teach them what they need to know about computers, as well as running a PC-based home business.”

For more information about the inventive Reverse Funnel System and home business opportunities available through JHBLifestyles, contact Julie Booz directly at 215-393-9378. Or visit www.jhblifestyles.com.

Uri Geller could lay claim to Criss Angel’s $1,000,000.00 challenge on national TV

November 26th, 2007

Uri Geller could lay claim to Criss Angel’s $1,000,000.00 challenge on national TV according to paranormalist Dick Brooks, director and head of Houdini Museum.

On Wednesday night November 15th, Criss Angel challenged Uri Geller $1,000,000.00 on the finale of NBC’s nationally televised “Phenomonon” to tell Angel what was in a sealed envelope and then quickly cut Geller off when he appeared to intuitively begin zoning in on it’s content. What was in the sealed envelope were the numbers 911. When Criss Angel (39) asked Geller (60) what was in the envelope Geller for some reason began rattling of dates that unknown to Geller were zoning in on the contents. Uri said Angel was born on the 19th, just 1 day prior to Geller’s birthday. He then said that he had bent his 1st spoon when Angel was 1 (years old.) A nervous Angel, knowing what was in the envelope quickly cut him off, and diverted attention by quickly opening the envelope.

On yet another recent show Angel again challenged co-host Uri Geller as to what was in the envelope. Criss explained “I will give you a million dollars of my personal money right now if … you can tell me specific details of what’s in here right now,” Uri seemed willing to try but the show moved on. Criss never proved that he had, or brought in the million dollars of his personal money.

On that same show Angel also challenged paranormalist Jim Callahan to tell what was in the envelope. An altercation exploded on national television. Callahan later said “I accepted the challenge through the producers of the PHENOMENON show, as well as publicly on the NBC forum”, “The only stipulation I made was that they confirm Angel had the million to pay out on live television as he said he would. I would turn over my prediction to the host to be read before Angel opened his. I assured the producers that if he had the cash I would take it from him on the show live. But alas no proof Angel has a million in liquid assets to pay out as per his contention.”

Dick Brooks, psychic investigator, and a director of the renowned Houdini Museum dedicated to the legendary magician, in Scranton, PA is continuing to follow up on the story as it develops. Dick Brooks is also a nationally known paranormalist, and director of Scranton’s Psychic Theater. He has been called by many a “Supernormalist.” The theater is currently presenting America’s longest running and well reviewed paranormal show and seance. It is a three hour plus evening with experiments in mind control, telepathy, psychokinesis, sightless vision, mentalism that ends with an attempt at recreating an old time seance. The presentation tells the story of the hauntings in the building going back to the Houdini era that were caused by various events that included a murder, suicide, and electrocution. The show explores the pros and cons of such events.

Green California Schools Summit

December 4-6, 2007

Pasadena Conference Center

Pasadena, CA

Suwol Presentation, Wednesday December 5 from 2:00PM to 3:15PM in Room 211.

Title: Healthy Environment = Healthy Children: Creating health & safety through protective policies and legislation. Learn how California Safe Schools (CSS), a nationally celebrated children’s environmental health and justice coalition founded in 1998, successfully spearheaded the most stringent schools pesticide use policy in the nation, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), at the Los Angeles Unified School District. IPM uses low risk methods to eradicate insects, weeds and other pests, eliminating a major source of indoor and outdoor pollution. It was the first in the United States to embrace the “Precautionary Principle” and “Right to Know” about pesticides used on school campuses. The policy led to the Healthy Schools Act 2000 and AB 405, which prohibited the use of experimental pesticides in California schools. Today these policies have become models for school districts and communities internationally.

Attendees will learn how to work with parents, teachers, community members, regulatory agencies, school staffs and local governments to implement IPM in their schools and districts.

RTcom USA announces industry’s first fully HDCP-Compliant DVI Matrix Router

November 21st, 2007

New device allows delivery of up to six video signals – from computers, DVD and Blu-ray players, TiVo systems and other consumer electronics – to up to six displays.

Sparta, NJ November 4, 2007 — RTcom USA Inc., provider of digital connectivity solutions for professional and consumer audio-visual and personal computer systems, announced it has developed and is now shipping the industry’s first digital visual interface (DVI) matrix router with full HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) compliance – now making it possible to transmit high definition video signals from up to six sources, including consumer audio-visual products and computers, to as many as six displays at the highest resolution. With the Digital Extender® DS-66HM DVI Matrix Router, video signals from computers and home audio-visual products – such as HD-DVD players, TiVo systems, satellite set top boxes, and Blu-ray disc players – can be sent to up to six displays. The DS-66HM DVI Matrix Router overcame the problem of HDCP encoding, which blocked signals from being transmitted from audio-visual products to multiple displays. This advance, for example, allows users to play multiple DVDs for digital signage, exhibition, or entertainment shows where multiple displays are used, without showing any degradation in the audio-visual signals. “We designed the DS-66HM DVI Matrix Router in response to our users’ requests to allow today’s popular consumer electronics products to be the DVI Matrix Router’s source,” said Joon Ryu, president of RTcom USA. “Signal degradation is a significant problem for A/V routers when joining multiple sources and displays, and RTcom USA just bridged that gap.”

The DS-66HM DVI Matrix Router supports the highest DVI single-link resolution and full matrix routing functions. Among its other features:

- Multiple switching modes, allowing any 6 x 6 select switching, from single input to multiple output ·

- Control options including RS-232C, LAN (TCP/IP), infrared or front panel keys ·

- Resolution support up to 2048 x 1080 at 60Hz, the highest resolution with DVI single link, and 1080p@60Hz with 36 bit color depth. ·

- HDCP compliance at all output channels

- Compliance to DVI V1.0 and HDMI V1.3

- Built-in Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) read function, with Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory (EEPROM), to save display EDID data while supporting any HDTV with maximum resolutions. The unit also supports non-Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) resolution, including projectors with unique resolutions. This function is easy to set up by the user. Built-in noise protection circuits in each input and output port.

- Exhibition video display system

- Control of the home theater system

The DS-66HM DVI Matrix Router is available now at an MSRP of $4,999 and can be purchased through Aurora Multimedia at (732) 591-5800 ext. 208.

Tips for Protecting Your Rights if you are Arrested

November 20th, 2007

Learn your rights. The actions a person takes and the statements a person makes prior to and following an arrest can have a huge impact on your case!

  1. Most importantly: Remain Silent! If you are being questioned chances are good you are a suspect and they are gathering evidence against you. Law enforcement will offer you encouragement to cooperate and tell you things will go easier on you if you talk to them, however, doing this may put your rights at risk and jeopardize your case! DO NOT ANSWER QUESTIONS WITHOUT AN ATTORNEY!
  2. If they read or tell you your Miranda rights, they suspect you have committed a crime. Just as when an officer merely approaches and questions you, you have the right, if you are stopped, to refuse to answer any questions if the answer would tend to incriminate you. Also, if you are only being stopped, you can refuse to allow an officer to search your person. Further, anything you say can be used as evidence against you. Sometimes people think that what they are saying won\’t incriminate them, when in fact, what they say provides a link in a chain of information that could incriminate them.
  3. You may be arrested by a police officer who personally saw you violate any state statute, city ordinance or federal law. The law may be a serious crime (a felony) or a lesser offense (a misdemeanor) or when there is a warrant for your arrest, whether or not you are aware of the warrant.
  4. If you are arrested, do not argue with or resist the police. Arguing or resisting the police will not help you; it may increase your chances that the police will arrest you and bring criminal charges against you. It probably also will give them grounds to bring even more criminal charges against you, and it may make it harder for you to get out of jail on bail if you are charged. Once officers no longer have grounds to detain you, they should tell you that you are free to go.
  5. If you are arrested you have rights that you should be aware of: The right to remain silent and not answer any questions at all; the right to know that if you waive (give up) your right to remain silent and do answer questions, the police can use your answers against you in a court to get you convicted. Even if you begin to answer questions, you have the right to stop answering questions at any time and to speak with an attorney. You have the right to speak privately with an attorney before you answer any questions or sign anything. If you cannot afford an attorney and if the crime for which you have been arrested has jail time as a possible penalty, you have a right to have an attorney appointed for you to represent you at no cost to you before being questioned, and to have that attorney present with you during any questioning to which you may later agree to submit. Remember, you cannot be penalized for refusing to answer an officer’s questions. If you try to cooperate by answering questions while you are being held in police custody, you may create difficulties for your lawyer in defending you later on. ALWAYS ASK TO SPEAK TO A LAWYER. If you find yourself questioned or arrested it is important for you to be aware of your rights. Guilty or innocent, it is important for you to adhere to them in order for your attorney to provide you with the best defense possible.

For more information concerning your rights please visit our website at www.padamslaw.com. Adams Law office is located at 2 W. 6th St. Suite 500 Tulsa, Oklahoma 74119 or we can be reached at 918-587-8700. Our firm specializes in the defense of serious criminal offenses throughout Oklahoma.

6 Tips for what to do if your child is Arrested

November 19th, 2007

Nothing can cause more stress for a parent than when your child is in trouble. Here are 6 steps to follow to help guide you.

  1. Don’t panic! This can be a very scary time full of fear, anger, and confusion and you will need to resist the urge to accuse or place blame at this time. Having a child accused of a crime is an emotionally traumatic event and in order to prevent being overwhelmed by the criminal justice system you will need to remain calm.
  2. Determine if a bond has been set or when it will be set. Don’t insist on knowing the details right away, at this point your child will probably be reluctant to tell you anyway. Ask to speak with the officer or clerk to find out what he is charged with, whether a bond has been set, and if so, what the amount is. If no bond has been set, find out when a bond will be set.
  3. Encourage your child not to waive their rights to remain silent or to legal counsel. Tell your child to remain calm. Let them know you are working to get them out of jail. Remind them of their right to remain silent and tell them to use it! The days of explaining the situation, apologizing, and going home are long gone.
  4. Bond the child out of jail if possible. Resist the urge to “teach him a lesson” by leaving him in jail. Leaving anyone in jail until the case is resolved is rarely a good idea. Getting a child back to school or work so that they can help defray their legal expenses, can be an important factor in mitigating any damage the child has done to himself or herself.
  5. Retain competent legal counsel. Be prepared to spend some money. You are protecting the investment you’ve already made in your child. Resist the temptation to allow your child to be represented by the public defender. While no lawyer can guarantee the outcome of any case, a competent, experienced, and creative criminal defense lawyer will be worth what you pay for him or her.
  6. Support your child as they go through “The System”. Criminal charges should never be taken lightly. A conviction remains with a person long after the fines are paid and any probation or jail time are served. Innocent or guilty, your child needs your support, monetarily, emotionally and even spiritually. People make mistakes. Young people make lots of mistakes. Some mistakes are more serious than others. Even if your child has been guilty of a crime it doesn’t mean they are going to be a criminal for the rest of their life. It means they need the help and assistance of a competent criminal lawyer. Do not be afraid, ashamed or hesitant to call one. Having a child in trouble is a very traumatic experience for any family to go through.

Following these simple steps can help guide you get through this tough time.

It is a support network where, anonymously, people can honestly express everyday worries and deeper concerns, talk these through openly with others and learn more about how to be emotionally healthy. Users can feel immediately better by expressing their thoughts and feelings on The Wall by adding a brick using the unique easy-to-use design tool. It is a form of digital graffiti which creates an infinite and permanent Wall of human emotion.

Big White Wall takes traditional offline networks and recreates them as a global online support network. For example, through Talkabout a dynamic community of users can talk about whatever is on their minds. The critical difference between Big White Wall and other networks such as Facebook and MySpace, is that all users on Big White Wall are anonymous. This allows everyone to be open and honest and to really share what’s going on for them. Big White Wall was launched in October 2007 and is currently in beta.

Population boom expands Queensland businesses – one company’s solution to assist with internal growth starts with the Server

November 16th, 2007

The Australian Bureau of Statistics published some statistics on the 31st March 2007 that estimated an increase of 92,000 residents since 31st March 2006, and that, as of that date Queensland accounted for 20% of the national population. (4,162,000)

For Small Business Owners, this kind of growth leads to questions about small business resources as they grow.

The growth has been estimated to have come from a few sources.

“Between the December 2006 quarter and the March 2007 quarter, 40% (12,100 persons) of the total population increase of 30,000 persons was due to net natural increase (excess of births over deaths), 38% (11,400 persons) was attributable to net overseas migration and 22% (6,600 persons) to net interstate migration.” (www.abs.gov.au)

With this type of increase in “working age” migrants flooding into Queensland we are starting to see an increase in demand and supply. This means that as the demand increases local small businesses are growing to meet those pressures. With the influx of new work, we are seeing small businesses quickly expanding without much planning, which means they are coping with the increase, whilst still using their existing systems and computer network they had when they started.

As a business grows, so too should the capabilities of your IT network. Your server should be capable of running above and beyond the requirements of your day to day needs and have a fail safe system for back ups.

PDKM Technology is a local Brisbane based IT Networking Company that has proactive solutions to ensure your data is safe at all times. Imagine losing all the data held on your server because you were trying to cut costs or didn’t have time to do your own back ups. How much would it cost you to retrieve it all, if at all possible? Why not implement a plan to prevent any IT issues in the first place?

Ask yourself:

Is your business growing?

Are you storing more and more data on your server?

Have you employed more staff recently?

Do you currently use an IT company? If so, are they proactive or reactive?

With PDKM’s Server Uptime Guarantee – if your server goes down, you do not have to pay any more money to get it fixed. This comes with a 2 hour emergency response, guaranteed. Our monitoring systems notify us if there is a problem. Our Best response time to date – Negative 48 hours (we locate and fix problems before you even know that there is a problem). This is all standard in our Premium service plan. We have a variety of plans to suit all businesses. Contact us to find out more…

Don’t get caught out with IT problems, be proactive, call PDKM Technology for our no nonsense plain English approach to your business’s IT health and growth.

Breakthroughs in Rosacea Research

November 15th, 2007

Breakthroughs in Rosacea Research

It is estimated that 30 million North Americans suffer from varying degrees of Acne Rosacea and what may be even more outstanding is that 14 million American go improperly diagnosed with their rosaceous problem. As seen in documents on the National Rosacea Society’s website (www.rosacea.org) there are several new research projects ongoing looking into the correlation between Acne-Rosacea and the Demodex Mite’s presence on the human skin.

In a preliminary study presented during a poster session at the American Academy of Dermatology annual meeting this year, Dr. Richard Burroughs and colleagues of Walter Reed Army Medical Center aims to determine whether intracellular bacteria that are present within the microscopic skin mite Demodex folliculorum cause the inflammatory response in rosacea patients. “Our aim is to accurately identify the organism that may be responsible for rosacea and thereby improve medical treatment for this disease,” Dr. Burroughs said. There is much optimism that this study will add to evidence that the demodex mite is the root cause of the spreading epidemic of Acne-Rosacea. The prevalence of the demodex in people with rosacea has been recorded as significantly higher than people without rosacea. Doctors at the Gaziantep University Department of Dermatology showed that there was a higher infestation of demodex in people with both rosacea (51% greater) and eczema (28% greater). Further information provided by the National Rosacea Society describes the highest incidence of triggers for those sufferings from Acne-Rosacea and five of the top ten triggers listed were weather related including; sun exposure, hot weather, wind, cold weather and humidity (www.rosacea.org). Weather changes and particularly the sun and hot-humid weather can cause rosacea to flare up and become extremely severe. “Summer may indeed be the time when many rosacea patients need to make the most lifestyle adjustments,” Dr. Del Rosso said. He noted that most rosacea tripwires seem to be related to flushing, which in turn may trigger or aggravate the signs and symptoms (www.rosacea.org). Steps to minimize the effects of the heat and sun on rosacea include; wear non pore clogging sunscreen, stay out of the sun during peak time 11am-3pm, avoid becoming overheated by staying hydrated and reduce flushing.

Individuals with Rosacea and other related problems often are looking for more effective and safer treatments than antibiotic creams and pills. While antibiotic treatments have been proven somewhat effective in alleviating rosacea, antibiotics don’t work for everyone and prolonged periods on antibiotics can cause detrimental health concerns.

For a more natural treatment of acne-rosacea and eczema an alternative, Facedoctor Skin Care Products, are available over the counter at your local pharmacy including all Shopper’s Drug Marts and Wal-Mart Stores across Canada. Facedoctor Products are based on research done in China by well respected medical doctors, all Faceodctor products contain the active ingredient Seabuckthorn Oil. This oil extracted from the Hippophae rhamnoides plant has been proven to fight against the infestation of the demodex mite; the same mite shown to be the major cause in Acne-Rosacea. For more information on Acne-Rosacea, the demodex mite, Seabuckthorn oil and the Facedoctor Products please visit www.facedoctor.ca or contact us at 1-800-595-6497.

Solving Climate Change – Follow the Money

November 15th, 2007

The International Energy Agency projects that $9-$15 trillion will be invested in the next few decades to meet the world’s growing energy demand. To tackle climate change, it is essential that renewables, clean technologies and energy efficiency receive the lion’s share of this investment.

Entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, pension funds and individual investors will drive this transition – and benefit handsomely. Formerly known as “alternative energy,” this new sector has become mainstream, creating thousands of new jobs in research and manufacturing. The opportunities are global, as India and China strive to raise living standards of 2 billion people. So far, these two nations have followed the same energy path as the west. Solving climate change will require both the west and east to cooperate and invest in the transition from fossil fuels to renewables.

Growth rates for renewables are impressive, with wind and solar industries increasing 20% – 40% each year since 2000. The commercialization of these renewables has attracted Shell, General Electric, British Petroleum and other energy multinationals to initiate significant financial commitments. Yet solar, wind and geothermal remain less than 2% of the global energy mix, even though some experts suggest that these renewables could supply 50% of our energy requirements in 2050. That would be a 2,500% increase from today’s level, offering investors strong return potential.

Efficiencies are coming from government policy and technical breakthroughs. Several countries and states are banishing the incandescent bulb for the more efficient compact florescent (CFL). Looking forward, the light-emitting diode (LED) is the next generation of energy efficient lighting, using just a fraction of today’s wattage-wasting bulbs. Gas-electric hybrid cars get 2-3 times the mileage of our current Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standard fleets, with the promise of plug-in hybrids getting over 100 miles per gallon. Breakthroughs will double solar cell efficiency and windmills have grown to megawatt-size turbines. Each of these new technologies is a huge business opportunity, creating new jobs while improving both efficiency and performance.

The first warnings about carbon dioxide emissions came 50 years ago. Like cigarettes, the consequences seemed so far in the future that doing nothing was easier than making any real change. Now, the leading scientists from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) have projected a warmer world, rising sea levels, stronger storms, species extinction and spreading topical diseases. Minimizing these effects would clearly benefit all humanity.

Most everyone has now seen the Earth at Night visual from NASA — a beautiful nighttime mosaic of our planet from space. Presently, two-thirds of all those lights come from fossil fuel power generation. Coal and natural gas remain the fuels of choice for generating electricity, while petroleum is used predominately for cars, trucks, trains and planes. We are truly addicted to fossil fuels to run our modern society.

If we continue building and funding the world’s energy needs as we did in the last century, we deserve to suffer the consequences. If we embrace the “energy revolution” (Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, September 24, 2007), investments in clean energy solutions will flourish and dominate the 21st Century. Climate change will be solved by shifting investments from fossil fuels to renewables, clean tech and energy efficiency. To track our progress, follow the money.

The PA Anti-Bullying Bill

November 10th, 2007

Approximately 360,000 Children in PA Are Affected By Bullying Each Year.

An estimated 17.9 per cent of the children in PA schools are in some way affected by bullying each year, (and this statistic is based only on the incidents that are reported.) The figure could even be potentially higher if you take into account the unreported incidents that relate to the problem of bullying in our state’s schools.
The bullying of young people if not stopped in most cases leads to mild to moderate depression, truancy, and lowered academic performance on the part of the affected young person. In other cases it leads to more serious depression and even attempted suicide or murder, referred to as “Bullycide.” Then there are the most serious cases where it leads to multiple acts of violence. Bullying is a most serious problem that in most cases is not promptly and properly addressed by school teachers and school administration officials.
It has been estimated that approximately 166,000 students are victims of bullying each year in PA state’s schools. About 35,000 of the students are both victims and bullies themselves, and about 159,000 students are bullies.
The PA State Senate Bill, (PA Senate Bill Number 71), has been passed by the Senate to effectively deal with the issue of in-school bullying. It will require all school districts in the state to “adopt a policy relating to bullying or amend the school entity’s code of student conduct required under 22 Pa. Code & 12(c) (relating to school rules) to include provisions relating to bullying.” The bill is currently in the House Appropriations committee, chaired by Representative Dwight Evans, and needs to be brought out of the committee to the House floor for a vote. The state senators who introduced the bill to the state Senate for passage are Senators Greenleaf, Orie, Kitchen, Costa, Boscola, Rafferty, Fontana, Punt, Tartaglione, Erickson, O’Pake, Washington, Browne, and Stack. It is now up to the House Appropriations Committee to review Senate Bill Number 71, to make any changes to the bill as deemed appropriate and most beneficial to protect the young people in our state against bullies and bullying, and then deliver the bill to the House for a full vote. Governor Edward Rendell supports the “concept of a bullying law” and his office is currently reviewing the wording of Senate Bill Number 71 to make certain that it is the best and most appropriately worded bill, providing the best protection possible against bullying in our schools for our young people.
The young people in our state who attend school; possibly your child, children, or grandchildren need your help. Our children need to be protected from bullies and bullying while attending the schools in our state. This bill requires that the schools develop a plan to properly respond to the problem of bullying and bullies in our schools.
It is time for Senate Bill Number 71 to be addressed by the House Appropriations committee and then delivered to the House of Representatives floor for a full vote.
We need your help and support. To cast a vote in favor of protecting our children from bullies and bullying in our state’s public schools go to http://www.haroldsays.typepad.com and cast your vote in favor of this bill.
360,000 of our children are waiting for us to act. Please act today and let’s get Senate Bill Number 71 signed into law in Pennsylvania.

HaroldSays is promoting ‘The Be Positive Do Something Positive Day’ on March 1, 2008

November 10th, 2007

Harold Cameron, the Chief of Helping People and Consumer Advocate for HaroldSays is promoting The Be Positive Do Something Positive Day on March 1, 2008. The Be Positive Do Something Positive Day is a day for people all over the world to experience and celebrate by BEING positive and then by DOING something positive on that day for another person, organization, or charitable cause. The end result, if only for one day, is to make our world a more positive and better place to be and to live in.

To properly celebrate the day each of us must first start with ourselves by BEING positive and then DOING something positive for ourselves – ideally when we begin our day.

Next, for The Be Positive Day to truly be a success, we must then BE positive and DO something positive in our homes for our families. Our positive act does not need to be huge or monumental, but rather, can be something seemingly small such as cooking dinner for our family and then eating and enjoying it together as a family.

Finally, for The Be Positive Do Something Positive Day to be a “positively” world changing success worldwide, we all need to BE positive and then DO something positive for another person, organization, or charitable cause. If we are a student, we could do something positive for a fellow student. If we are an employee of a company or organization, we might do something positive for one of our co-workers. We could also do something positive for an organization such as The American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, Stand Up For Kids, Charity Buzz, Nickelby Project, Do Something, or some other organization or cause we believe in and want to help.

Let’s all join together on March 1, 2008 and make it the most positive day our world has ever celebrated or experienced.

HaroldSays, “Making our world a more positive place, one day at a time!”
