Capella Resources, Canada Completed Mapping And Scaling Of New Road Cuts At Lajitas Gold-Copper Project

February 1st, 2010

Capella Resources, Canada has 100% ownership of the Lajitas Gold-Copper Project, which is located within the Maricunga Gold Belt in Northern Chile. The Lajitas property consists of 1600 hectares of exploration and exploitation claims. The company’s geologists completed mapping and sampling of new road cuts at the Lajitas gold-copper project in northern Chile during May 2009 and currently continue with RC-drilling campaign on the property.

The sampling on the road cuts prepared for the operation of drilling equipment has yielded some important clues to possible gold-copper porphyry mineralization at depth. The sampled roadcut is 480 meters long, and it lies approximately 1 kilometer south-southwest on structural trend with Drill Hole LJ-08011, where mineralization was encountered. Theroadcust exposed altered dacite porphyry with grey “Maricunga type” quartz veins, silicification, clay, and iron oxides similar to the mineralization type observed in LJ-08011. The examination of drill core led to a change in the characterization of rock types within the drill holes with extensive alteration and oxidation with the ratio of dacite porphyry to tuffaceous wall rock increasing to 2:1 in LJ-08011. Capella’s geologist are confident that the assay results on sampled roadcut will lead them to better characterization and mineralization modeling in the area.
