Capella Resources Set Up A Forward Base Of Operations In Labrador
February 12th, 2010Capella Resources set up a forward base of operations in Labrador to support-truthing of geophysical data and cue-in for over 200 permitted drilling targets. It is a Canada based junior exploration and mining development Company which holds an extensive land position in the areas of Newfoundland and Labrador and has been actively exploring for nickel, copper, chromium, titanium and other base metals in the central and south-eastern areas of Labrador. The company has over 2,900 mineral claims covering more than 74,000 hectares of land.
In 2008 a total of 18 of the top ranked EM anomalies were targeted for ground follow-up and to validate and rank these anomalies in five locations around Snegamook Lake and Wilson Lake in Capella’s Central Claims area in Labrador, a team of nine experts of Capella Resources was dispatched. They collected and analyzed a total of 99 surface samples and the result of this surface sampling included peak copper assay values greater than 1%. The southeastern claims group of Labrador comprises of an area where the metamorphic suite dominates the geology.
