Study Cram Introduces Newly Invented Innovative Speed Reading Techniques to Facilitate Faster Reading for Students

December 15th, 2010

Nova Scotia, Canada, 8th December, 2010

Study cram has introduced for the students all over the world, some really effective speed reading techniques which will help them to speed up their reading process along with developing reading habits. The study cram inventors held time to time researches on some best students of the planet and ripped off their ways of studying and reading to reveal their secrets of attaining good grades every time. These techniques basically comprise strategies, tools and self developed ways of these students that help them to stay ahead of others. Their rules and beliefs which they adopt while studying helping them cut the burden and stress involved in it to just be left with the fun portion.

As revealed by the researchers of study cram, the students who can read faster saves a lot of time from learning as anything read with full concentration is even more effective than learning. In this busy schedule and under the burden of high aspirations of their parents and relatives students in present times are highly multitasked and thus one thing which they lack is time. By learning how to speed read can provide a lot of extra time to students to be a part of extra co-curricular, field of their interest or their favorite activity. Fast reading is facilitated by few methods like skimming, chunking, sub-vocalizing and focused reading. A vast syllabus can’t be catered by a word to word reading approach and thus grouping similar texts to make them more organized and meaningful proves quite useful. Also skimming, which is basically a method of putting a quick view through the page, eliminates the need of wasting time in carefully reading the whole of it.

The process of fast reading works by getting the glimpse of the text to get the basic idea it wants to convey and mold it in the form and language which you find convenient in learning and understanding. Beneficial study skills tips from Study Cram

November 17th, 2010

Nova Scotia, Canada, 29th October 2010

Study cram has been designing several study tips oriented towards enhancing the mental ability of students around the world. As we all know the education system which is more of theoretical now days require the students to grasp most of the information they get. Some students who are exceptional in studies develop a very successful career while no body cares about the students who lag behind.

This made study cram innovate online classes for improving study skills especially for the students who find it difficult to cope with modern studies. These classes are divided into timely based parts which requires a student to dedicate fixed time intervals , giving him time for extra curricular activities and thus, the burden of scoring well is reduced to a large extent. There is a lot of difference between the studies of schools as compared to colleges, where school is all about spoon feeding and college makes a student to organize his studies in his own way.

This programme helps a student to organize his routine in a day and the college study tips not only assists in boosting mind power, but also helps the student to explore his strengths as well as weaknesses to overcome them. Specialty of these programmes is that they don’t make the students waste their time by sitting in front of books the complete day. The study tips have been collected after a lot of research work by the team of experts and exceptional teachers who are available to assist the students 24 hours online. The Mountain Peak Academy addresses the individual needs of students with mild learning disabilities. Students excel within a mainstream college prep private school setting combined with specialized small group training.

The Mountain Peak Academy (MPA) in Weston, Florida was created to address the needs of a special community of students whose abilities surpass their academic

environment, each student can progress and develop in the classroom while
acquiring knowledge in important school subject areas. Class work is designed to
promote student success, and children are encouraged to learn at their own pace

Michigan’s Best Kept Secret In Autism Treatment Continues to Expand

September 20th, 2008

Caledonia, MI, September 10, 2008—The Horizons Developmental Remediation Center in Caledonia, Michigan is proud to announce the addition of a 4th Certified Relationship Development Intervention (RDI)Ò Consultant to their staff. Courtney Kowalczyk has completed twenty months of rigorous training, and was officially certified earlier this month.

The RDIÒ program, developed by Dr. Steven Gutstein and Dr. Rachelle Sheely at the Connections Center in Houston, is a family-based treatment model designed to address the deficits of children and adults who have Autism Spectrum Disorders or other types of neurodevelopmental disabilities. Certified professionals are trained to provide assessment and consultation to families in order to address the research-based core deficits of these disorders, such as flexible thinking, communication, self-awareness, problem solving, and relationships with others. This approach focuses on addressing the root causes of communication, behavioral, and social difficulties, as opposed to just compensating for them.

Kowalczyk’s certification brings the total number of RDIÒ Program Certified Consultants at Horizons to four, making the center the largest provider of RDIÒ treatment services outside of the Houston Connections Center. This number is also a significant given that there are only 166 professionals certified in this approach worldwide. A team of certified consultants provides the benefit of their collective expertise, and allows families to select a consultant that is best suited to their needs and personalities. “People often refer to us as the best kept treatment secret in Michigan,” said Nicole Beurkens, Horizons founder and director. “We serve so many families out of state and in other countries, but many people don’t know we exist right here in their own backyard!” Having an additional certified consultant will allow Horizons to meet the needs of more families here in Michigan, as well as in other states and around the world.

About Horizons

Established in 2003, the Horizons Developmental Remediation Center, located in Caledonia, Michigan, is a multidisciplinary clinic utilizing innovative research-based approaches to address the deficits of children, adolescents, and adults with developmental and neurological disabilities. Founded by Nicole Beurkens, the Center provides RDIÒ program services as well as complementary services such as occupational therapy, speech therapy, feeding therapy, employment training, parent coaching, and individualized instructional programs. Program and staff information, as well as family stories are available at www.horizonsdrc.com.
