Government Surplus Auctions: How to Find Government Auctions Online

May 23rd, 2010

Have you ever wondered what happens to the items seized in government foreclosures and other forms of federal acquisition? Well wonder no more, Government Surplus Auction Online (GovernmentSurplusAuctionOnline.com) has every major auction and sale posted for you as soon as the information is available!

Instead of paying full price for land, cars, jewelry, etc., head over to Government Surplus Auction Online to see how you can take advantage of the low priced items up for grabs, and all the while help the economy gain more stability with each purchse.

Unfortunately, with the downturn of the American economy recently, many goods are being seized by the government for defaulting on various payment plans, but this means that you are able to pick up these items at a fraction of the retail value. One of the most profitable businesses today is the reselling of these goods online, so Government Surplus Auction Online can give you all of the information you need to start making money from repossessed cars, land, jewelry, computer equipment, and much more!

However, seized goods are not the only thing you can learn how to buy through Government Surplus Auction Online, they also give you information on how to buy surplus goods purchased by the government that they no longer need, and are looking to make at least a small amount of cash for essentially giving you like new and in many cases even brand new merchandise that you would otherwise have to purchase from a retail store. You could of course pay a fee to join the members list of a product wholesaler, but even then you are not getting the competitive prices found in government auctions and sales.

Having very little if any money invested in the products and items they are selling, the government does not have to sell at a very high price to make money from the sale, so they are able to pass the savings along to you as the consumer, and Government Surplus Auction Online explains how all of this is possible! Another great aspect to participating in government initiated auctions and sales, is that you are able to be completely confident that the purchases are legitimate and backed by the government, as to avoid legal issues down the road, which you might incur through a third party auctioneer service or reseller.

GovernmentSurplusAuctionOnline.com gives you all of the information you need to start buying products that would normally be outside of your budget, at fractions of regular prices through the government. Whether you are looking for a new house, a new car, or just a way to make some money by reselling these goods, Government Surplus Auction Online has everything you need to get started.

Hang Seng Financial– Market For Fed’s MBS Non-existent

February 12th, 2010

“Hang Seng Financial”: Who will buy the MBS on the Fed’s balance sheet?

The toxic assets held on the US Federal Reserve’s balance sheet will be very difficult to sell when the central bank decides to withdraw liquidity from the financial system as part of its exit strategy.

That’s the view from analysts at “Hang Seng Financial”, the Asia-based boutique investment house. They pointed to the market for MBS (mortgage-backed securities) as being seriously impaired and suggested that the Fed may have to accommodate the assets for years to come or until the US real estate market stages a sustained recovery.

The assets were purchased by the Fed as part of its effort to increase the amount of credit in the mortgage market while keeping mortgage rates artificially low in a bid to stimulate a housing market that has been in decline for more than 3 years.

“Hang Seng Financial” believe that, because unemployment in the US is still officially at 10%, there are many more delinquencies and foreclosures to come before the end of the crisis which makes the assets unattractive to investors as many of the properties upon which mortgages have been secured are worth less than they were at the time they were bought.

The general consensus among commentators appears to be that the Fed is in or close to being in a position to begin tightening measures but “Hang Seng Financial” advised caution among clients citing the fact that the Fed would be unlikely to begin tightening while Americans were still losing their jobs.

The American Council of the Blind of New York Praises CBVH for Openness and Transparency

Albany, New York – April 4, 2008 – The American Council of the Blind of New York (ACBNY) praised the Commission for the Blind and Visually Handicapped (CBVH) and the Executive Board leadership for its bold move after learning that meetings of the new Executive Board charged with investigating the state of services for people who are blind and visually impaired in New York State will be webcast.

Opposition to this idea had been strong due to claims of inordinate cost for the process. But Mike Godino, President of ACBNY applauded the decision because the funds used to provide streaming would not affect any services for blind and visually impaired people.

“We have been advocating from the beginning for a transparent process in the selection and operation of this Board. We’re very pleased with this decision, which will allow maximum participation in this important work,” said Mr. Godino.

ACBNY firmly believes that, since blind and visually impaired people live all over the state, it is important all people be able to participate in the Executive Board’s deliberative process. The Commissioner’s decision would ensure that everyone could understand how their lives would be affected by the Executive Board.

“It was crucial that this be an open and transparent process,” President Mike Godino said. “Discussions that effect people who are blind or visually impaired and their friends and families certainly need to take place in the open. This is absolutely in line with Governor Paterson’s commitment to transparent government processes, and we commend the Commission and the board for taking this action.”

The first meeting to be web cast will be on April 9. The Executive Board is mandated to report its findings to the Governor on January 1, 2009. All proceedings, with the exception of executive sessions, will be streamed live, archived on the Web site of the Commission for the Blind, and visually handicapped.

The American council of the Blind of New York, Inc.(ACBNY) is a self-help, advocacy organization. As a state affiliate of the American Council of the Blind, ACBNY represents thousands of blind and visually impaired New Yorkers. Its mission is to ensure independence, dignity, and equality for the blind residents of New York.
