Promote with Lanyards at Trades Shows, Conferences, and Expos

October 11th, 2009

Attendee and exhibitor identification is an important element in expositions and conferences. They make organization easy for your exhibitors at expositions, and help conference attendees find who they are looking for. Identification badges can be used to tell other people who someone is, where they are from, what they do, or other information and attaching those badges to lanyards gives that badge an unobtrusive center stage.

Imprinted lanyards usually serve many purposes.

1. With your event’s name and/or date, you can make sure attendees remember it for years to come. A lanyard with this information is a great way to celebrate and promote your event.

2. People use lanyards for flashlights, keys, whistles, keepsakes, and many other things.

3. Lanyards are also a great tool for sponsorship. Lanyards with an exhibitors name are a great way for your organization to cover the events’ cost. One of your exhibitors may want to showcase a new product or service. All of the attendees will be wearing the lanyards with product or service’s name on it, while others will be using the lanyards after the event. Advertising space is always for sale, and with the low cost of a lanyard, selling their advertising space can be a great ROI.

Lanyards are available in a variety of configurations with attachments such as ID/badge holders, retractable badge reels, key rings, and clips, safety breakaways, and buckles.

About Michael Jackson

Michael Joseph Jackson (August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009), dubbed the “King of Pop”, was an American legend and perhaps one of the most commercially successful entertainers of all time. His unique contributions to music and dance, along with a highly publicized personal life, made him a prominent figure in popular culture for over four decades.

His Journey started in 1964 as a member of The Jackson 5. His 1982 album Thriller remains the best-selling album of all time, with four others — Off the Wall (1979), Bad (1987), Dangerous (1991), and History (1995) — continue to be among the best selling albums. He is widely credited with having transformed the music video from a promotional tool into an art form, with videos such as Billie Jean, Beat It and Thriller using inimitable dance moves like the moonwalk and robot.

His achievements are truly larger than life… a double-inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, his other achievements feature multiple Guinness World Records — including the “Most Successful Entertainer of All Time” — 13 Grammy Awards, 13 number one singles, and estimated sales of over 750 million records. All MJ did was followed his dreams…to make it large!

Sony Music Roll Out Major Viral Campaign For Rock Legends AC/DC

July 3rd, 2009

For Immediate Release
Dublin: Sony Music Entertainment has launched their biggest digital marketing campaign of the year for rock legends AC/DC.

Though they may be not be digital natives having proudly resisted the call of the itunes download chart – they are certainly on their game about engaging their fans in an online environment.

The campaign developed by Bluecube Interactive, is a comprehensive digital initiative that fits with the fun-loving play hard ethos of the group. Developed to promote their live tour and generate ongoing buzz around Black Ice, their first album released in eight years the campaign targets radio DJ’s and fans recruited via forums, blogs and music sites using a mix of online PR, PPC activity and display media and radio.

In this campaign AC/DC have thrown down the gauntlet for their fans to see who can create the longest rock and roll train of Angus look-a-likes ever. The big five radio stations in the country and their superstar DJ’s are mobilizing their listeners to battle for the grand prize of a signed Gibson Guitar and their entire ACDC back catalogue.

‘’It’s the old good versus evil paradigm with the battle taking place online and on air – real fans versus radio stations. Who has the most influence? Whoever wins old and new generations of AC/DC fans will find this an exciting and innovative way to engage with the world’s most electrifying rock and roll band!’’ Heather Kennedy deputy Managing Director of Bluecube Interactive.

“AC/DC’s back catalog is magnificent and fans nationwide have been filling chatrooms and bulletin boards for years speculating about the digital release of their albums. Sadly this still hasn’t happened but we are proud that the fans can get to take part in the AC/DC experience online’’ Eithne Mooney, Head of Press & Promotions Sony Music.

Formed in Sydney, Australia in 1973 by brothers Angus and Malcolm Young, AC/DC released its first album, “High Voltage,” in 1975. The group has gone on to sell more than 150 million albums worldwide, making AC/DC one of the five best-selling bands in music history.

Promoting Music through the Internet

May 4th, 2009

A change in promoting and distributing music through the use of the Internet

Universal City CA, May 4, 2009—Unknown bands have found it much easier to reach a bigger audience, all with the help of popular websites such as MySpace and YouTube. The promotion and distribution of music changed since the growth of the Internet– and according to Pat Faucher, CEO of a new media company Nimbit, he said that “record companies no longer have the sway and power that they used to, and that smaller labels now have the upper hand when it comes to finding and promoting new bands. And with MySpace, among other online music services, this has now made a better market for these bands to survive.”

It is true that bands need money in order to survive. But they have always done this with the help of live shows and merchandise, among others. Even before the Internet became popular as it has, smaller labels and unsigned bands were already competing with the bigger boys of the major labels. Of course, the best type of any advertising would still be through word of mouth: if someone told you to check out something, you will most probably do.
