Team Heathrow Shine Through in Abbey Business Centres ‘Best of the Best’ Awards 2009

September 24th, 2009

Abbey Business Centres, provider of serviced office space, meeting rooms and virtual offices from their base on the Bath Road close to Heathrow Airport, are pleased to announce the winners of their annual Best of the Best awards.

Incorporating six different categories, the Best of the Best awards give both clients and employees across the whole Abbey network (spanning 13 different UK locations) the chance to reward those centre staff who have gone the extra mile to meet customer needs in the past year.

In all around 200 votes were cast by staff and clients alike and two of the winners chosen were from the Bath Road business centre – Rhian Somner was named Best Customer Service Co-Ordinator (CSC) whilst Daniela Gianfriglia picked up the prize for Best Newcomer.

Both Rhian and Daniela were presented with a certificate and a bottle of champagne by Sally O’Brien, General Manager for London.

Rhian was obviously delighted upon accepting her award “Whilst I personally feel a great sense of pride in being crowned best CSC, credit must also go to the rest of the team at Heathrow who try their hardest to deliver excellent customer service to our clients every day.”

Managing Director Julie Calder was elated with the feedback received during the nomination process “I could not be more thrilled with the performance of our team at Heathrow Airport. Their dedication and professionalism supports my belief that Abbey offer the best customer service in the serviced office industry and we want to continue the push for further excellence.”

Feckless shoppers warned against smash-and-grab gift buying

December 20th, 2007

Kiss goodbye to panic gift buying: new website LateLateGifts.co.uk is helping thousands of last minute shoppers cope with Christmas.

The idea behind the site is simple. Users can browse 60+ shops that offer immediate, same day or next day delivery gifts to take the stress out of last minute shopping.

Time is of the essence for the feckless gift giver, so the easy to navigate website offers simple search options to help users find the presents they need pronto.

Shoppers who are really racing the clock can search same day delivery gifts. For those with a day or two’s grace, the site lists retailers offering delivery by the following morning.

The range of shops means there’s an ideal gift for everyone. From electricals, gadgets and computers to jewellery, chocolates and experience days, it’s all on offer – and delivered fast.

Late late gifts creator, Richard Kershaw, was inspired to build the site by his own shoddy gift-giving habits:

“I know all too well the stress of last minute smash-and-grab gift buying. But I was certain I wasn’t the only person who was, well, just a bit rubbish at buying presents.

“I couldn’t find anything out there to take the pressure off buying gifts for your nearest and dearest. I hope that Late Late Gifts will make Christmas and those other big occasions a little less daunting.”

The Advertising myth! True or False?

December 13th, 2007

We all know we have to advertise to generate business but do we know which adverts really work?

It’s all well and good relying on tick sheets or staff asking where the enquiry came from but isn’t this trusting to luck? Can you be sure that your staff is as worried as you are about where your business leads come from?

The answer is simple – No!

Number Sourcer has the answer. It’s simple and easy to use, will give accurate information and enables you to focus your advertising budget to the right advertising medium.

Number Sourcer offer 0800, 0845, 0870, geographic numbers and personal 070 numbers which can be bought for as little as £99 – For Life! Yes this is not a lease or time period agreement, you have the number for life.

Once allocated to your account it’s easy to track where your calls come from using a simple web interface. Give each advert you publish their own number and see which ones get rung the most – simple!

If you spend £5k on an advert, isn’t it sensible to spend £99 to ensure that advert is working? You may find that a cheaper medium is bringing in more leads for the money and Number Sourcer can achieve this for you.

It is important to make sure your Homeowners Insurance is up to date

October 30th, 2007

Whether you have Allstate, Liberty Mutual or any other Insurance company, you need to make sure your Homeowners insurance is up to date. With the California wildfires raging on, Tony Vecchiotti of Sodus (NY) Insurance Agency says it’s a good time to make sure all of your insurance policies are up to date. If a homeowner loses a house to fire, a typical homeowner’s insurance policy would pay 100 percent to rebuild it, if the home is adequately insured. Many homes in Upstate New York are underinsured. Talk to an agent, tell them how your house is laid out, what kind of rooms that you have, the style of the house, any additions that you’ve made or improvements like a three-walled addition or a custom kitchen or custom bathroom. These things can really change the replacement cost from what’s generally in your neighborhood. Agents also recommend taking pictures or making videos of the things in your house and storing those pictures somewhere safe. This is especially true for people who have expensive items like electronics, antiques or artwork.

If you have insurance questions, please call Tony Vecchiotti at 315-483-6905 or email him at [email protected]
