Businesses across China close their doors for the Lunar New Year festival from January 24 to February 1 as millions of urban residents travel back to their rural home towns.
To make matters worse for importers, electronics manufacturers in China routinely hold no stock. If the production lines are shut down, no new goods are available.
This means that anybody ordering stock during the January 24-February 1 Chinese New Year period will find that their order can take from two to four weeks to process.

Customers can still order from Chinavasion in this period but items will not be shipped out until February 2nd when everybody returns to work from the Chinese New Year break.

Chinavasion staff will be updating website information during this time, so stock levels are correctly reflected for ongoing orders.
According to Chinavasion’s Rose Li the effect of the spring festival doesn’t have to be negative, you just need to be prepared for a 2 week hiatus in your supply chain.
