Fire Apes grab spotlight on indieSolo
December 21st, 2007The Fire Apes, an Indie Rock/Powerpop band from Charleston, SC, will be the featured artist on IndieSolo.com on Friday, December 21, 2007.
The Fire Apes continue to be a Powerpop/Indie group on the rise. Their original guitar-driven pop songs ring true with that affable sounds of pleasant 1960s jangle pop, and there’s often more behind those songs than what’s obvious.
IndieSolo.com is about championing the indie artist in a niche music community of like-minded people who love great music! It’s about exposure, promotion, and empowerment. IndieSolo is an online stage, a place where a world audience can drop by everyday to connect with their favorite band or discover a new sound or emerging artist. It’s a destination for industry professionals, a place where they can uncover, book, and sign new talent.
The individual responsible for this daunting yet exciting task is IndieSolo’s Music Director Melanie Schade. Melanie is scouring the globe looking for bands and artists that are ready to take their music careers to the next level. “IndieSolo is the perfect opportunity for bands to separate themselves from the crowd” says Schade. Selected bands will have 1 day | 24 hours |1440 minutes to promote their music, show-off their unique personalities both onstage and offstage, build their fanbase, and make money through the sale of CDs, ringtones, merchandise, and donations. A large component of indieSolo.com will focus on connecting fans to the bands. To achieve this, indieSolo created a unique rating system that will measure a band’s popularity and buzz. Fans will be able to interact with bands, give feedback, and download free MP3′s and ringtones. More importantly, indieSolo has now made it easy for music fans to discover new artists plus great music.
Fans have a say on indieSolo and a chance to be part of a provocatively bold and entertainingly cool community.
The Fire Apes consists of John Seymour on lead guitar and vocals, Julian Volpe on bass and backing vocals, Hugh Knight on keyboards, and Aron Robinson on drums.
