Naked Wines doubles range from top Châteauneuf-du-Pape producer
June 1st, 2009Popular Naked Wines‘ producer Dominique Grangeon, heralded as the New Superstar of Châteauneuf-du-Pape by the Wine Advocate Magazine, has recently ramped up her range of wines on www.nakedwines.com
Following the huge customer popularity of all of her wines, which were part of the Naked Wines’ launch range in December 2008, Dominique (who’s received 95 parker points for various vintages), now has seven wines for sale on www.nakedwines.com These include a Vin de Pays Rosé which she recently produced exclusively for Naked Wines’ customers.
“The Vin de Pays Grenache 2007, a stunning wine which holds its own against the more expensive Cristia range, flew off the Naked Warehouse shelves,” explained a Naked Wines’ employee. “Customers have been blown away so ordering in the new 2008 vintage, as well as building up the Cristia range, was a no-brainer for us.”
“The web-link to the new wines leaked out before they were in stock, and we had customers calling up to order before the new vintages had even crossed the Channel!”
As well as relying on the quality of the wines themselves, Dominique has clearly drummed up a big fan base through chatting to her customers too. Visible on her profile page, she regularly finds the time to log-on to the Naked site to answer questions and post updates on her Wall.
