Next OSSCamp Delhi Announced to be held on 27, 28 March at IIT Delhi
March 10th, 2009New Delhi, India ( Prfriend ) March 10, 2009 – The best and brightest of India’s Open Source community will be part of the Delhi’s next OSSCamp. OSSCamps are Barcamps focussed on Open Source Technologies. “Barcamp is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in open environment. OSSCamp is an intense event with discussions, demos, and interactions between India’s Open Source movers and shakers. (http://www.osscamp.in) OSSCamp Delhi is a 2 day ad-hoc gathering focussed on Open Source technologies. OSSCamp Delhi will take place on 27 and 28 March 09 at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi aligned with the Tech Fest of IIT Delhi – Tryst 09.
Previous OSScamps have witnessed more than 2000 open source community members from Sun, Infosys, TCS, Amazon, Yahoo, Google, Naukri.com, Impetus, Opera Software, start-ups participating from across the country. People from all walks of life, like technology professional, startup entrepreneurs, investors, media persons, bloggers, students, teachers etc. attended.
“This time we are thinking of having focussed tracks like symfony@osscamp, mysql@osscamp, postgresql@osscamp, drupal@osscamp etc. This will give all of us chance to delve deeper into Open Source Technology of our interest” says Vineet Agrawal, Co. founder of OSSCube & the OSSCamp community.
