In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness month, Chevrolet has enacted a program in which part or your entire service rebate can be donated to the American Cancer Society®. Lake Motor Company of the Devils Lake, North Dakota area is pleased to announce that it is participating in this event.

In order to qualify for this program, customers simply need to bring in their vehicle for brake pad installation or an oil change, tire rotation, and 27-point inspection package (oil change excludes synthetic oil). Chevrolet is currently offering a $25.00 rebate on brake pad installation and a $10.00 rebate on the oil change package. Customers can choose to waive their entire service rebate or as little as $5.00. The waived amount will then be donated to the American Cancer Society.

There are two ways to complete the rebate and designate the waived amount. Customers can either complete a rebate form right at the Lake Chevy dealership or they can visit mycertifiedservicerebates.com. Customers must then mail a copy of their repair order and either the rebate form or a printed confirmation page if they completed the rebate online.

Lake Chevy is only offering this special during the month of October so Chevrolet vehicle owners are encouraged to act now. Gainesville, VA—The Virginia Division of Lennar and residents of their active adult community, Heritage Hunt in Gainesville are gearing up for their eighth annual 5K Walk/Run fundraiser to help in the fight against cancer.

The event is open to the public and will take place at the clubhouse of Lennar’s Heritage Hunt Gainesville community on Saturday, September 26 at 8:30 a.m. The walk/run continues for 3.1 miles throughout the Heritage Hunt community. Participation is $20 with all proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society, the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center of Georgetown University and the Cancer Center at Lake Manassas.

The first 150 registrants receive a commemorative T-shirt and prizes will be awarded to the top three men and women walkers and runners

“Each year our walk/run has gotten bigger and better,” said Michael George, project manager for Lennar’s Virginia Division. “It is truly inspiring to see so many people join together in the fight against cancer.” “Cancer is a devastating disease and our goal at Lennar is to continue raising money and awareness so that one day, with everyone’s efforts, there will be a cure.”
