Research Shows That Belly Fat Causes Inflammatory Diseases and Can Be Fatal

January 31st, 2009

Florida, USA. January 28th, 2009: Dr. Paul Yanick and fellow researchers shed light on the negative effects of excessive belly fat.

Excess belly fat is the external sign of deep-rooted problems including the risk of heart disease, diabetes and even dementia or cancer. Belly fat produces renegade chemicals that cause disease-causing inflammation. “It seems to have a more negative outcome on health than overall fat,” stresses Richard N. Bergman, a professor at USC’s Keck School of Medicine. In a study presided over by Dr. Arya M. Sharma, Director of the Canadian Obesity Network, 27,000 people in 52 countries were surveyed, which concluded that heart attack sufferers had a much higher waist-to-hip ratio compared to those who hadn’t. This conclusion was further strengthened by the 2004 Lancet, where doctors concluded that the waistline measurement is a much more accurate predictor of heart attacks.

A new e-book book “Belly Fat Epidemic” by Dr Paul Yanick of the American Academy of Quantum Medicine carries a strong message for consumers against belly fat. He quips, “Predigested or symbiotic nourishment is the only way to stop piling up excessive belly-fat.” Fat cells attract xenoestrogens, becoming super resilient to diet changes and even fasting. Even consistent, moderate exercise is rendered useless.

Other studies have linked belly fat to metabolic syndrome – a grouping of risk factors, such as high cholesterol and high blood pressure that can precede diabetes and heart disease. A research study concluded that overweight, post-menopausal women, with the most abdominal fat were the most likely to suffer from metabolic syndrome, breast cancer, gallstones and even premature death. Also, a Kaiser Permanente 2004 study showed that people with the most belly fat were 145% more likely to develop dementia compared with people with the least amount of abdominal fat.

“Forget fad diets like low-carb (glycemic index), low-fat, liquid diets, the grapefruit diet, fat-flush plans, and starvation diets as they are harmless against fat-storing xenoestrogens,” says Dr. Yanick. Excess belly fat causes the immune system to fail, which accelerates the fat-storage process. These toxins take over our metabolism and natural ways to control our fat cells, which is the only way to get rid of inflammation and diseases.
