Frunze Summer Theatre________ 34%

Yew-box grove________ 34%

The results of the survey show that the majority of the tourists (61%) recalled Dendrarii Park as the most impressive, more than a half of the respondents (52%) remembered Residential Complex “Millenium Tower” and the Sea Terminal Building. “Platforma” club finishes the top 3 with 49%.

It is remarkable that modern places were named among Sochi traditional culture sights. Below there are examples of tourists’ quotations’ explaining such choice:

“This “Millenium Tower” building can be seen from any point in Sochi, it is an example of modern architecture embodying “new” Sochi – a world-class resort.

“Millenium Tower” in Sochi to a certain extent can be compared only to “Moscow-City” complex in Moscow.

“Platforma” club is remarkable by its atmosphere – such a hot place. You need to come to Sochi just to drop in at it.”

“The “Blue Sea” is a restaurant with first-class service, which is so rare in other Russian and Ukrainian resorts. The atmosphere and menu variety are marvellous.”

“Deluxe Hotel “Rodina” offers elite accommodation and a wide range of services which cannot be seen even in some of the European five-star hotels.“

“Mayak” Aquapark offers unforgettable pastime for the whole family. Water attractions are an inseparable part of a sea holiday. What is important is that there should be plenty of them and they must be safe.”

“Thus nowadays tourists are searching not only for historical and cultural sights but are also interested in modern infrastructure, which is vital for a really good holiday.

New Senior villas will help fulfill demand in St. Charles County

July 12th, 2009

Press Release – July 10, 2009

St. Louis, Mo. – Rosemann & Associates, P.C. recently began construction on an independent senior living development in Wentzville, Mo. called Villas at Peruque Hills. The $3.8 million project is part of a larger development including single family homes called Peruque Hills Estates.

Developed by GHL Development, an affiliate of Gundaker Commercial Group who serves as the General Contractor, the Villas will be mixed affordable and market rate senior housing with funding provided by the Missouri Housing Development Commission (MHDC) and Bank of America. Construction is scheduled for a winter 2009 completion.

With 23 townhomes and 11 garden units, the Villas will provide needed affordable senior housing in St. Charles County which is currently named a disaster county by MHDC due to severe flooding in 2008.

“The Wentzville area is vastly expanding and there is a great demand for quality affordable housing in the region,” says Andrew Koenig, AIA. “Our team is confident this project will help fulfill the need but there is still more work to be done.”

Rosemann’s design concept coincides with the Universal Design methodology. According to the Universal Design Alliance’s website, UD is a “user-friendly approach to design in the living environment where people of any culture, age, size, weight, race, gender and ability can experience an environment that promotes their health, safety and welfare today and in the future.”

For the Villas, unit entries, bathrooms, kitchens, living rooms, and first floor bedrooms are fully accessible by wheelchair. All units include an oversized, attached garage allowing for someone with a physical disability to more easily access a vehicle. According to Koenig, the garages are a unique amenity not often found in affordable housing.

“Being an independent senior development, ease-of-use was extremely important,” says Koenig. ”With minor changes such as changing out some cabinetry and countertops and adding some grab bars we can easily convert units to be fully accessible. The townhouse unit staircases were also designed wider to accommodate a lift if necessary.”

About Rosemann & Associates, P.C.: Rosemann is a multi-disciplinary Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering and Planning firm committed to creating community design solutions. Cintas Foundation Program at FIU’s Frost Art Museum Opens 2009 Competition for Coveted Music Fellowship

December 13th, 2008

Miami – December 12, 2008 – The Cintas Foundation and the Frost Art Museum at Florida International University today announced the start of the annual competition for the 2009 Brandon Fradd Fellowship in Music Composition administered by the foundation and the Cintas Fellowship Program at The Frost.

Established in 2006, this fellowship is generously endowed by Brandon Fradd of NewYork City.  Managing director of Apollo Medical Partners, Fradd, a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Medical School, grew up in Miami among Cuban friends from whom he learned Spanish and developed an interest in Cuban music.

The only one of its kind in the nation, the program has honored some of the world’s most talented Cuban musicians. Past music fellows include Armando Bayolo, Sergio Barroso, Mario Bauza (known as the father of Afro-Cuban jazz), José Bernardo Aldo Rafael Forte, Julián Orbon, Tania León and Orlando Jacinto Garcia. Last year, the first William B. Warren Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Bebo Valdes. The Cintas Foundation awards fellowships annually to creative artists of Cuban lineage who are currently residing outside of Cuba. Winners will be announced in May 2009.

“Endowing a specific fellowship for music composition is a visionary gesture which supports the rich heritage of Cuban music for the enjoyment of all. The music community is indebted to Brandon Fradd for his generosity,” said Hortensia E. Sampedro, president of the Cintas Foundation.

Applicants for the music fellowship must submit original musical compositions and recordings of their work by January 30, 2009.  Cintas fellows are awarded $15,000 and the opportunity to pursue an art project outlined in their applications. Since it was established in 1963, the Cintas Fellowship Program has honored more than 300 artists. FIU and the Cintas Foundation Board have been administering the awards program since 2005.

The Cintas Fellowship Program encourages creative development in architecture, literature, music composition and the visual arts, and awards annual fellowships in creative writing and visual arts as well. The foundation was established with funds from the estate of Oscar B. Cintas (1887-1957), former Cuban ambassador to the United States, a prominent industrialist and patron of the arts.

Application forms and competition requirements are available online at www.cintasfoundation.org or by contacting Stephanie Guasp at the Frost Art Museum at [email protected]
