Avanta’s new website streamlines the client enquiry process

May 14th, 2010

Following a surge in enquiries for managed workspace, Avanta has launched a new website which dramatically simplifies the navigation process and enables visitors to review office space, meeting room and virtual office solutions with fewer clicks.

“Our new website now includes more content as well as better explaining the Avanta proposition and our core values,” comments Geraint Evans, Avanta’s UK sales and marketing director. “In addition, whilst our website has historically always ranked highly, we hope that our brand new website will further increase our position on the search engines.”

“We started a strong social media campaign in August 2009, by setting up an online community, Avanta Exchange, and a YouTube channel, together with Twitter and Facebook profiles and our aim is to keep increasing our brand presence online as well as the number of direct enquiries.

“We’ve already had fantastic feedback from suppliers, clients and team members on the new website and we are confident that it will help to increase our presence in the marketplace.”

Avanta increases occupancy in India

May 5th, 2010

Avanta has found the perfect way to start the new financial year in India by hosting a high tea event for all clients at its Statesman House business centre in New Delhi.  The event celebrated the announcement that the centre has now reached 75% occupancy following an intensive marketing campaign across the Middle East.

“We ended 2009 with 70% occupancy in New Delhi,” comments David Alberto, Avanta’s managing director, “And following a series of special offers and strategic marketing, which includes Google AdWords campaigns specifically targeting Malaysia and Singapore, we have received a number of enquires with the first clients ready to move in.

“We recently hosted a week long training session for the European Commission Director General for Humanitarian Aid which was attended by members from across the South Asia region.   This follows the international business community increasingly focussing on India as a high growth area.

“Overall, we are in buoyant mood following increased occupancy in New Delhi and the recent expansion of our Devonshire Square centre in the City of London, where we pre-let 50% of available space even before it was open. In addition, Avanta has ongoing plans for further overseas investment and we remain committed to India and the US, via our alliance with Regent Business Centers, and we are currently negotiating a number of joint ventures in the Middle East.”

Avanta’s Rugby Legends dinner raises £6,500 for Sparks

April 26th, 2010

The presence of rugby legends and a TV and radio presenter, combined with Avanta’s legendary hospitality, helped the serviced office operator raise £6,500 for Sparks, the children’s medical research charity.

The Avanta-hosted Sparks Rugby Dinner, held on Thursday April 15, at Vanilla in London’s Great Tichfield Street, was attended by rugby greats such as Kenny Logan, Peter Scrivener and Damien Cronin. Leading rugby commentator John Taylor hosted a live auction with items such as a personal dining experience, luxury hotel stay, West End entertainment package, a day behind-the-scenes at a hit TV show and a Ferrari driving experience going under the hammer alongside a number of exclusive and much sought-after rugby memorabilia.

“We’ve been supporting Sparks for a number of years,” comments Avanta’s managing director, David Alberto, “and with more than 80 guests at Vanilla this has been a hugely successful charity dinner event. It is heart-warming to see that, despite the challenging economic climate, so many people are committed to supporting such a worthy cause.”

Paul Connew, Sparks director of communications, added: “David Alberto and the whole Avanta team never fail to deliver for Sparks, and represent the type of loyal corporate friends whose support is vital in these challenging economic times. Without them, together with fantastic rugby ambassadors like Kenny, Peter, Damian and John, important medical research for children would take a hit.”

Third City of London centre for Avanta

February 22nd, 2010

Following resurgence in demand for high quality serviced office space in the capital, Avanta has recently exchanged contracts to open a new business centre at One Fetter Lane, London EC4.This will bring the number of Avanta business centres in central London to 14 and increase its overall portfolio in the UK to 19 centres.

The new centre comes hot on the heels of the recent doubling in size of Avanta’s Devonshire Square business centre. “As a London-focussed supplier of managed office space we have witnessed exceptional demand for high quality office space in the City during the past few months, so we are increasing our portfolio of top quality buildings to accommodate this demand,” comments David Alberto, Avanta’s managing director.

“One Fetter Lane will provide in excess of 19,000 sq ft of high-quality serviced offices, meeting, training & conference rooms, as well as virtual office services.  It is a great location on the corner of Fetter Lane and Fleet Street, practically adjacent to the Royal Courts of Justice and close to major law firms and banks like Goldman Sachs, Coutts and Freshfields.”

Nearby transport links include Chancery Lane & Temple tube stations and Blackfriars Station or the City Thameslink on Ludgate Hill thus providing easy access to both London Underground and Thameslink services.

One Fetter Lane is currently occupied by US-based law firm, Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge which will shortly be relocating to larger premises in the City of London. Avanta hopes to complete a high specification fit out and have the building ready for occupation by the beginning of September.

Avanta stays strong in India

January 8th, 2010

Avanta’s business centre in New Delhi has ended the year with occupancy levels well over 70% due to an upsurge in demand for serviced office space in India during the second half of the year.

“Statesman House was the first business centre that we opened in India,” comments David Alberto, Avanta’s managing director, “And with the international business community increasingly focussing on India as a high growth market, so the demand for high-quality and fully-serviced flexible space is maturing. Interestingly, our customer base is not limited to major blue chips as large numbers of SMEs, entrepreneurs and even start-ups are now making their presence felt in the Indian capital.

“Avanta has ongoing plans for further overseas investment and we remain committed to India and the US, via our alliance with Regent Business Centres, and we are currently negotiating a number of joint ventures in the Middle East.  We will end the year in a positive mood across the board as our business in London has remained remarkably robust with increased levels of occupancy and enquiries.

“We continued expanding during the year by opening a new business centre at 26 Dover Street and we’ve seen the number of training organisations relocating to our centres more than quadruple during the year. Overall the last six months have been better than we expected and our current trading remains ahead of plan which bodes exceedingly well for 2010.”

Is Avanta Office Space shaped for your business?

December 12th, 2009

Whether you are a major international corporation looking to relocate, an SME that wants to be closer to its client base or a start-up business seeking office space to rent for the very first time, Avanta Managed Offices has a workspace solution to meet your requirements.

Business centres are now a mainstream choice for an increasing number of organisations, both big and small, and Avanta not only provides hassle-free access to fully furnished office space, but it also provides clients with the flexibility to upsize or downsize their space requirements according to their individual needs.

In the current economic climate many businesses are finding it hard to make long-term plans, so Avanta’s flexible office space licence agreements provide the perfect alternative to traditional leases.   Businesses that are tied into long-term property leases will not have the flexibility to simply relocate quickly, despite any changes to the fortunes of their business.

Not only do Avanta business centres offer clients flexibility, but licence fees include everything from rent, rates and receptionists through to heating, lighting, cleaning and security.  In addition, for a fixed monthly fee, Avanta’s business services package provides most of the services you will use day to day, including phone line, Cisco VOIP handsets, switchboard and UK landline calls, internet access, photocopying, reception services and even beverages.  All this offers advanced facilities and services in a simple, affordable package designed so clients can spend more time focussing on their core business.

.

Avanta’s highly trained centre teams, accredited by the Institute of Customer Service, are on hand to ensure that your time in the office is enjoyable, rewarding and productive.  They will help support your business by ensuring that all your needs are catered for, from arranging secretarial assistance or perhaps a meeting room, through to supplying catering or concierge services to ensure an event or product launch goes smoothly.

Avanta Managed Offices are a cost-effective solution to your office space needs, so why not let Avanta run your office while you run your business.

Harrow-based Xprint urges local businesses to put the X-factor into recycling

June 23rd, 2009

Increasing demand for eco-friendly remanufactured printer cartridges, for both home and office use, has seen one of the UK’s leading recyclers of ink jet and laser toner cartridge urge local consumers to act more responsible before throwing old cartridges into the dustbin.

Xprint was founded five years and has recently relocated from Middlesex to the Avanta business centre in College Road. “The needless disposal of printer cartridges is estimated to account for more than 15,000 tonnes of waste plastic and metal each year,” comments Abbas Shivji, general manager of Xprint, “Yet the recovery of and reuse of toner and inkjet cartridges reduces landfill by millions of cubic feet of non-biodegradable material and each recycled cartridge conserves the equivalent of approx one litre of oil!

“We already supply remanufactured cartridges and recycling boxes to a wide range of retailers, such as PC World, but now we’ve made it even easier for individuals and business users to recycle their old cartridges and mobile phones. By using our special freephone number 0800 191 0828 callers can request Freepost envelopes and labels for their old cartridges and for every cartridge they mail in we’ll even donate up to £1 and up to £3.50 for every mobile phone we can recycle as part of our ongoing support to reducing carbon. Xprint’s recycling division Recyclecartridge.Org actively promotes donations to worthwhile and charitable causes like the Hospiscare and Carbon Life Ltd to name a few.

“We’ve only recently relocated to serviced office space in Harrow, as the speed with which the Avanta team helped us move in and set up a VPN link to our dedicated warehouse was exceptional. The location of the centre is also extremely convenient for London Underground, motorways and Heathrow Airport.”

“The printer is the lifeblood of any office and to keep them running, companies need ink and paper that perform superbly, cost-effectively and reliably,” adds Fay Jessup, Avanta’s centre manager. “And they need to source these with minimal fuss and cost and in as environmentally-sound a way as possible.”
