Don’t Shoot the Printer – Troubleshooting Your Printer Problems

July 22nd, 2009

San Diego, CA ( Prfriend ) July 22, 2009 – Printer problems can be a computer user’s headache. Not everyone has the tech savvy to deal with printer problems, and it does not help that many printer errors are coded so mysteriously that it is hard for the user to figure out what they mean.

To help printer users with their specific printer problems, PrintCountry.com has launched a new range of services designed to be a one-stop resource for printer troubleshooting. These services include a new YouTube channel and a new interactive printer troubleshooting tool.

The PrintCountry.com YouTube channel contains many instructional videos on how to solve day-to-day printer problems such as finding a free printer driver download, replacing printer ink cartridge and cleaning printer heads. The initial videos posted on the channel, namely “How to Clean Print Head Nozzles” and “How to Clean a Clogged Printer Ink Cartridge,” enjoyed over a thousand clicks within a few days after posting.

The new PrintCountry.com interactive printer troubleshooting tool, on the other hand, gives printer users a walkthrough on specific printer errors or problems that they are experiencing. By clicking on the appropriate responses provided on the troubleshooting application, printer users can get access to solutions specific to their own printer troubles.

Serhat Pala, president of PrintCountry.com, stated that these new services are a way for the website to show its commitment to provide its visitors practical solutions to printer problems that ordinary users can understand. These new troubleshooting guides can help lessen the frustration that typical printer users feel whenever they have to deal with printer errors and the error codes sound like Greek to them.

Mr. Pala added that the most popular questions asked by PrintCountry.com customers are not really complicated printer problems but rather common, day-to-day concerns such as setting up a wireless printer, what to do when a printer cartridge runs dry after not being used for a while, how to add a printer on the computer, and how to find printer drivers for old operating systems like Windows 98.

Aside from the new YouTube channel and the new interactive printer troubleshooting application available on its website, PrintCountry.com also has an extensive knowledge base. This knowledge base is a repository of more than 500 common printer problems and tips, providing detailed answers to frequently asked questions posed by the website’s visitors, and the solutions given here vary in difficulty and complexity.

PrintCountry.com also has a printer & ink cartridges blog that reports on various issues in the computer and printer industry today. The blog is also another venue for the website’s visitors to find help on printer problems and printer troubleshooting. A valuable feature of this blog is its detailed reviews on many different printer models available in the market today.

PrintCountry Announces Four Top Reviewed Mobile Printers by Users

March 9th, 2009

San Diego, CA ( Prfriend ) March 09, 2009 –Mobile printers, once considered a novelty among gadget collectors, are now becoming indispensible tools for people on the go. A recent customer survey by PrintCountry.com, a leading supplier of printer ink cartridges, has revealed that more and more people have come to rely on mobile printers to do their job, even when they are at home.

Serhat Pala, president of PrintCountry.com, explained that mobile printers are becoming more and more popular because of their versatility and compactness. Mobile printers can create various kinds of printouts, from plain text documents to high resolution photographs. They can also be powerful and perform at high speeds.

Mr. Pala added that even though they are designed to be used for traveling, mobile printers are now making their way into homes and taking the place of the more traditional desktop printers. The reason for that is mobile printers can be so small that they would fit in any space. This is especially useful if a home office has very limited space to accommodate large gadgets.

The PrintCountry.com survey also announced the four top-rated mobile printers chosen by their customers as the best for the year 2008. These four printers are:

1. Canon Pixma iP100. Surveyed customers of PrintCountry.com have chosen Canon Pixma iP100 as their most favorite mobile printer. Performance-wise, the Canon printer does well when it comes to printer resolution. As a result of the increased number of ink nozzles, the 2008 version of this Canon mobile printer now has a resolution of 4,800 x 1,200 dpi. The Canon Pixma iP100 has a lovely silver matte finish and is only 2.4 inches tall, 12.7 inches wide and 7.2 inches deep, with a full connectivity suite, including a Pictbridge port for digital cameras.

2. HP Officejet H479wf Mobile Printer. The HP Officejet mobile printer comes in second for aesthetics in design. This easy-to-carry HP mobile printer model is only 3.25 inches high, 12.4 inches wide and 6.45 inches deep, and has a feeding capacity of 50 sheets. It missed out on the top spot because the print quality is not as high as that of Canon Pixma iP100, nor does it have the Canon mobile printer model’s built-in ink efficiency.

3. Canon Pixma iP2600. Canon Pixma iP26000 has the versatility of the iP100 mobile printer model, except that the printout quality is a lot less perfect with the former. It has, however, the same cost-effectiveness and efficiency in ink usage.

4. Epson Stylus RX680. The Epson Stylus mobile printer model scored high in the PrintCountry.com survey because of its sheer functionality and its capability to scan high-quality images on CDs and DVDs or even PDFs.

Many other mobile printers released in 2008 made the list off the PrintCountry.com survey, but could not make the final cut in the PrintCountry survey polls. Included among these mobile printers are those manufactured by Brother, Pentax, Polaroid, Sony, Dell and Lexmark.
