Gold Enrichment on the Nevada Property of Capella resources Is of hydrothermal origin.

February 20th, 2010

Located on the Maricunga Gold Belt in the Republic of Chile, the Nevada Gold-Copper project is a 100% owned property of Capella Resources. It is a 1900 hectare landholding and is approximately 700 kilometers northwest of Santiago, Chile. The Nevada Gold property is strategically located between Exeter Resource Corporation’s Caspiche Project and Kinross Gold’s Maricunga Mine. The exploration work completed by Capella on this property includes an historical compilation of available geological data, Induced Polarization (“IP”) and Ground Magnetic surveys, geochemical sampling and a detailed hyperspectral remote sensing study.
Gold mineralization provides excellent potential for Capella Resources as a near surface gold-copper deposit at Nevada as it is consistent with high sulphidation gold systems like Veladero, Pierina and Yanacocha. While, gold enrichment on the Nevada Gold-Copper project of Capella Resources is hydrothermal in origin and is associated with a massive 200mX400m breccia body with vuggy silica alteration that has intruded dacitic volcanic rocks.

Capella Resources Set Up A Forward Base Of Operations In Labrador

February 12th, 2010

Capella Resources set up a forward base of operations in Labrador to support-truthing of geophysical data and cue-in for over 200 permitted drilling targets. It is a Canada based junior exploration and mining development Company which holds an extensive land position in the areas of Newfoundland and Labrador and has been actively exploring for nickel, copper, chromium, titanium and other base metals in the central and south-eastern areas of Labrador. The company has over 2,900 mineral claims covering more than 74,000 hectares of land.

In 2008 a total of 18 of the top ranked EM anomalies were targeted for ground follow-up and to validate and rank these anomalies in five locations around Snegamook Lake and Wilson Lake in Capella’s Central Claims area in Labrador, a team of nine experts of Capella Resources was dispatched. They collected and analyzed a total of 99 surface samples and the result of this surface sampling included peak copper assay values greater than 1%. The southeastern claims group of Labrador comprises of an area where the metamorphic suite dominates the geology.

Capella Resources, Canada Has Received Drilling Permits For Tinton Property

February 8th, 2010

The Tinton Gold project is located 15 kilometers west-northwest of the famous and historic Homestake Mine in Black Hills at Lead, South Dakota. It is 100% owned property of Capella Resources, Canada, which has 1270 hectares of landholdings in 157 unpatented mining claims. The Tinton area is being explored by the Homestake mining company since 1940′s.

The process of Gold Mineralization at the Homestake Mine is hosted within plunging synclinal fold structures of the Early Proterozoic Homestake Iron Formation, which is associated with extensive ductile shearing and is subject to upper greenschist to lower amphibolite facies metamorphism. As per the geologists of Capella resources, Canada, certain evidences show that a blind Homestake-style deposit with 40 million ounce potential is situated under Paleozoic cover in the area of the Company’s claims group on the east side of the Tinton Dome. Drilling permits for the Tinton property have also been received by Capella Resources, Canada, and a 2,000 meter hole is expected to be drilled by the company in the east of the adit.

Capella Resources, Canada Completed Mapping And Scaling Of New Road Cuts At Lajitas Gold-Copper Project

February 1st, 2010

Capella Resources, Canada has 100% ownership of the Lajitas Gold-Copper Project, which is located within the Maricunga Gold Belt in Northern Chile. The Lajitas property consists of 1600 hectares of exploration and exploitation claims. The company’s geologists completed mapping and sampling of new road cuts at the Lajitas gold-copper project in northern Chile during May 2009 and currently continue with RC-drilling campaign on the property.

The sampling on the road cuts prepared for the operation of drilling equipment has yielded some important clues to possible gold-copper porphyry mineralization at depth. The sampled roadcut is 480 meters long, and it lies approximately 1 kilometer south-southwest on structural trend with Drill Hole LJ-08011, where mineralization was encountered. Theroadcust exposed altered dacite porphyry with grey “Maricunga type” quartz veins, silicification, clay, and iron oxides similar to the mineralization type observed in LJ-08011. The examination of drill core led to a change in the characterization of rock types within the drill holes with extensive alteration and oxidation with the ratio of dacite porphyry to tuffaceous wall rock increasing to 2:1 in LJ-08011. Capella’s geologist are confident that the assay results on sampled roadcut will lead them to better characterization and mineralization modeling in the area.

Capella Resources Initiated A Drilling Program At Lajitas Gold Project, Chile

January 18th, 2010

Capella Resources, an exploration and mineral development company has 100% ownership of Lajitas Gold-Copper Project. This project is located among the established resources on the Maricunga Gold Belt in Northern Chile. The Lajitas property consists of 1600 hectares of exploration and exploitation claims. The Maricunga district mainly contains the deposits of porphyry gold which are mainly found within advanced argillic alteration zones that host high sulphidation epithermal gold deposits. The exploration work completed by the company on Lajitas includes historical compilation, reverse circulation (RC) drilling, detailed remote sensing analysis and 3D modeling.

In March 2008, Capella Resources initiated a Phase I-4000 meter drill program at Lajitas, in order to test the 2 kilometer diameter geophysical anomaly. Due to winter weather conditions, drilling in this area was temporarily suspended in June 2008 and was recommenced in October 2008. This drilling project was mainly initiated to test the IP chargeability anomaly across the mapped and surrounding areas, interpreted as zones of alteration. The main focus of this drilling program is on the four new gold zones which were discovered with the surface sampling of road cuts.
