China Source Chinavasion: Scam China Suppliers Now Offering ‘iPads’

April 29th, 2010

Shenzhen, Guangdong ( prfriend.com ) April 27, 2010 – China Supplier Chinavasion put out a warning today that China scam companies were using the buzz surrounding the Apple iPad to dupe unsuspecting eBay traders.

No one would deny that the buzz surrounding the Apple iPad is huge right now.

On the first day of its launch, the tablet computer sold between 600,000 and 700,000 units on the first day.

Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg is reported to have used it to keep up on state affairs when he was stuck in New York because of the air crisis caused by the eruption of the volcano in Iceland.

However, according to wholesale electronics source, Chinavasion scam manufacturers in China are now trying to benefit from the buzz by misrepresenting themselves as genuine iPad suppliers.

According to Rose Li, PR manager for the China wholesale manufacuturer Chinavasion, scam manufacturers had listed fake iPads on B2B sites like Alibaba for half of the recommended retail price of the actual iPad in a bid to dupe eBay resellers and online traders.

“At the last count there were as many as 14737 iPad listings on Alibaba alone,” according to Chinavasion’s Rose Li.

“That’s a lot of listings for a country where the actual iPad hasn’t even been released yet.”

While some China ‘iPad’ suppliers slipped up by offering ‘iPads’ with Intel processors, 10- inch screens, cameras or telephone functionality, Chinavasion’s Rose Li said that some smarter operators were very clever with their duplicity.

“Some listings look very much like the actual iPad listing on Apple with the only difference being that they are half the price as the real thing,” said Chinavasion’s Rose Li. “However, what the customer would get in the box is really anybody’s guess.”

According to Rose Li, actions like this tarnished China’s image as a whole and saddened genuine wholesale electronics suppliers like Chinavasion. “Scam companies like this hurt the whole industry.”

“The faster they are removed from the industry the faster China’s burgeoning electronics industry can move forward.”

According to China wholesale source, Chinavasion scam companies should be avoided at all costs. Please use respectable China wholesale companies like Chinavasion.com. 30% Off LED Watch Sale Doubles Sales Of LED Watches Says Drop Ship Company Chinavasion

December 2nd, 2009

Shenzhen, Guangdong ( Prfriend.com ) December 02, 2009 – Resellers snapped up the opportunity to lift their LED Watch profit margins in November according to China wholesale source, Chinavasion.

According to the dropship source Chinavasion the sales of LED watches in November rose 100% compared to sales in September after Chinavasion slashed its LED watch prices by 30%.

According to Chinavasion’s PR manager, Rose Li, the slash in prices and the increase in sales was no mean feet considering where they were already.

LED watch prices have dropped to 17 US dollars and US 14 dollars in some cases.

“The popularity of LED watches for resellers in November was unbelievable,” according to Chinavasion’s Rose Li. “They were one of our hottest selling items.”

According to Rose Li the 30% off sale was Chinavasion’s way of increasing the profitability of a type of product that previously only came with a slim profit margin.

While Tokyo, Japanese and other LED watches are status symbol wholesale price was so high that resellers didn’t make much profit from their sale.

However, Chinavasion’s prices for LED watches were 1/6th of similar watches on the market delivering huge reseller profits for eBay resellers and drop shippers.

“Resellers are always surprised by our low prices with LED watches considering their strong build and level of presentation,” said Rose Li. “They’re not going to believe we’ve taken more off the price.”

All of Chinavasion’s LED watches come with a 12 month warranty a high quality aluminum display case and have to pass a rigorous QC check before being stocked.

And when it’s combined with Chinavasion’s extra fast shipping times it becomes a deal that is hard for resellers to ignore.

“Chinavasion is a company that has been built around drop ship vendors,” according to Rose Li. “The great prices on these LED watches are a great example of how Chinavasion helps resellers make money.”

China Wholesale Veteran Chinavasion Offers Resellers Advice For Sourcing With Alibaba’s AliExpress

August 25th, 2009

Shenzhen, Guangdong ( P ) August, 27, 2009:

China Wholesale ground-breaker Chinavasion has released a five-point guide to avoiding being taken for a ride by suppliers listing on Alibaba.com’s new ecommerce portal AliExpress.

Last week Alibaba.com did a soft launch of its new AliExpress service.

According to Chinavasion’s PR Manager, Rose Li, AliExpress is aimed at smaller to medium sized sellers and adds a limited degree of security for people who source from Alibaba.

“The main Alibaba.com is essentially an advertising website: no deals are transacted. AliExpress is different. It’s ecommerce with international shipping, and that’s 100% new business territory for the Alibaba group.”

The AliExpress site explains that Alibaba will guarantee order fulfillment under an escrow arrangement. This will be the first international test of Alibaba’s proprietary AliPay online payments system, already widely recognized within Mainland China as a payment method for the Alibaba group’s eBay-style auction website Taobao, and a would-be competitor to eBay’s Paypal system.

Chinavasion’s Rose Li warned while the Alipay Escrow system might guarantee that resellers get something delivered they will still need to stay on their toes.

“Will buyers get what they want from AliExpress? Each supplier you find in AliExpress will have their own concepts of acceptable quality and speed. Since the goods are neither sold nor shipped by Alibaba themselves, the burden will still fall to the buyer to investigate and test each and every different supplier in the system before trusting them with orders.”

In an effort to prevent resellers from being fleeced by sellers on AliExpress Chinavasion has put together the top five things to check for to prevent being taken for a ride by AliExpress suppliers, which can be read at tinyurl.com/AliExpress-Review for free.

As the first company to offer an online wholesale and dropshipping service online Rose Li said Chinavasion wanted to remind resellers what to look for when sourcing from China.

“We would like to offer our site Chinavasion.com as a price comparison for people shopping online through AliExpress. We are confident we offer a more user-friendly experience without the need to worry about quality, speed, or trust of unknown Chinese suppliers.”

China Wholesale Chinavasion Says Wholesale Stock Is Key To Avoiding Chinese New Year Disruptions

January 15th, 2009

Shenzhen Guangdong ( prfriend ) January 15, 2009 According to electronics wholesaler Chinavasion.com, Chinese manufacturers will be shutting their doors mid-January this year.
Businesses across China close their doors for the Lunar New Year festival from January 24 to February 1 as millions of urban residents travel back to their rural home towns.
To make matters worse for importers, electronics manufacturers in China routinely hold no stock. If the production lines are shut down, no new goods are available.
This means that anybody ordering stock during the January 24-February 1 Chinese New Year period will find that their order can take from two to four weeks to process.
According to Rose Li, PR Manager for China wholesale company Chinavasion, it didn’t matter if you were using a China wholesale supplier, a wholesale dropship company, China electronics manufacturers or a China cellphones wholesale supplier the results were usually the same.
“It can be a shock to those who have just started doing business with China but it is a fact of life when you’re importing from China,” said Rose Li.
Chinavasion’s Rose Li said Chinavasion had stocked up on all of its items to avoid delays and ensure customers would get their orders quickly.
“Chinavasion is the first ever electronics wholesaler holding stock on the ground in China. We specialize in serving medium wholesale orders and ebay dropshipping” said Rose Li.
As a result Rose Li said customers would see their products within a week instead of the several weeks it could take other China electronic manufacturers and electronics wholesale suppliers to get stock to customers.
Chinavasion’s Rose Li recommended anybody sourcing from China stocked up before the break.
To avoid shipping delays Chinavasion’s Rose Li recommends eBay traders, ecommerce store owners and retailers place orders before Monday January 19 to ensure products get to them before the Spring Festival break.
Customers can still order from Chinavasion in this period but items will not be shipped out until February 2nd when everybody returns to work from the Chinese New Year break.
China wholesale supplier, Chinavasion has put other measures in place, besides holding stock, to guarantee customers aren’t inconvenienced by the holiday.
Chinavasion staff will be updating website information during this time, so stock levels are correctly reflected for ongoing orders.
According to Chinavasion’s Rose Li the effect of the spring festival doesn’t have to be negative, you just need to be prepared for a 2 week hiatus in your supply chain.
“With a little advance planning, and a reliable wholesale distributor, traders can keep their goods supply more or less uninterrupted,” said Rose Li. “Chinavasion has taken this step and believes it is the only way to get through this normally difficult time of year.”

Wholesaler Chinavasion Responds to Closure of Global Sources Direct

December 26th, 2008

Shenzhen, Guangdong ( prfriend.com ) December, 25, 2008 The global economic downturn’s latest victim was China ecommerce site “Global Sources Direct”, which closed for business on December 1.
Sources close to the firm reacted with surprise at the abrupt closure, and reflected on the challenges the Global Sources Direct business model faced.
Global Sources Direct was a venture of NASDAQ-listed Global Sources, in operation since June 2005. The company was a joint venture between the business to business giant and online auction site eBay.
Offering no detailed public explanation for the closure, General Manager Jennifer Leung made the announcement with a simple website message on December 9, 2008.
Representatives of wholesale distributor Chinavasion has since reacted, giving their analysis of the critical difficulties Global Sources Direct faced.
The first issue Chinavasion representatives identified was the difficulty of managing ‘virtual inventory’.
Major ecommerce sellers, like Amazon.com have pioneered the concept of “Virtual Inventory” which has the seller relying on suppliers for stock.
In such a system, the seller does not actually carry any volume of stock themselves. They instead rely on the goodwill between themselves and their suppliers.
According to Chinavasion’s Rose Li, this is an impracticable approach in a developing economy like Mainland China.
“Virtual inventory means you rely totally on your suppliers. As the seller, you cannot afford inconsistency in product quality or supply,” says Rose Li. “But most manufacturers in China cannot yet offer quality control or stock efficiency that is acceptable for international buyers.”
In response to such challenges Chinese Wholesaler Chinavasion has reported ongoing investment in its own in-house quality control process, checking all items before they go onto warehouse shelves.
Secondly, at Chinavasion, products are only advertised for sale if they are actually ready to be shipped to customers.
“Virtual inventory can never be a substitute for real inventory,” summarized Rose Li.
Chinavasion’s Rose Li predicted that Global Sources would now focus on its core activities of business-to-business media and advertising.
