Message and Experience from Outsourcing in Middle East

November 20th, 2008

Silver Touch Technologies Ltd, showcased its software development services, offshore software development Centre and Managed IT services through NOC in Gitex 2008 TECHNOLOGY WEEK. We initiated in the Middle East market in 2007 by getting associated with IT companies and consultants in GCC Region to promote and explore Software Development, Web Application Development projects with local companies and government agencies.

Mr. Minesh Doshi, Director of Silver Touch Technologies Ltd says, “Our experience for executing the IT projects for Middle East companies has been good. Most of the IT Projects have met the dead line, valuing clients’ time and money. Outsourcing is still a new business practice for the local IT companies. Consultants and we feel that it requires lot of improvement in processes of outsourcing to serve the end clients more efficiently.”

Outsourcing software services are divided categorically as Implementation & Customization of packaged business application, Development of Custom Application. Current outsourcing model is more focused on implementation of packaged business applications, challenging local skills. More experienced consultants are required to work onsite for successful implementation of the project. Above all it has bottleneck in terms of Indian professionals travelling to GCC. On the other hand, custom application development has been limited to new and innovative concepts only, where packaged solution is not available, proving even more challenging as customer has limitations to define detailed “Scope of Work” to outsourcing vendors.

There is a huge potential in requirement understanding for custom application development as well as implementation services for packaged software applications. Based on our experience in Outsourcing business, we have introduced a unique partnership model for the Middle East partners to strengthen them in requirement gathering process by providing onsite Business Analyst locally. Mr. Minesh Doshi says “We are very much confident that our unique Global Application Delivery Model for partners will in fact work well with our local partners. This will enable our offshore team in India to execute the project within timeline with quality.”

Now End clients also look at service providers, who have the capabilities of not only developing and deploying the software applications but also managing them. Survey done by the dedicated sales team, in the Middle East market, Silver Touch has launched its Infrastructure and Application management services through its state-of-the-art Network Operation Centre branded as SilverNOC.

Here, Mr. Minesh Doshi writes on the experience from Outsourcing in Middle East. He writes on the new Partnership model introduced by Silver Touch especially for GCC Region that will help for better Software Outsourcing India process and easy operation/ management of Software Application Development or Web Design and Development projects in India.
