Successful deployment of MobiLink and Distiller in Romania

April 13th, 2010

InfomatiX Ltd. is proud to announce, that it completed the mobile transition to the MobiLink technology at Primagaz Romania in February, 2010. The project management and development team of InfomatiX handled the challenge with ease, rolling out the software product on schedule while managing to keep the quality assurance aspect of the project a top priority.

The company currently uses the interconnecting MobiLink and Distiller services to connect to its existing Microsoft Dynamics Navision system and is in the process of introducing the extension of these capabilities to a wide variety of handheld devices used by Primagaz, made possible with the multiplatform MobiAccess protocol. The data synchronization process of the MobiLink system enables sales directors and regional sales managers to instantaneously access up-to-date stock data, while Distiller delivers customer information and error-free reports. Also, as Primagaz begins to use the rich mobile clients, it will take the burden of heavy paperwork off the shoulders of sales representatives, allowing them to focus on the sales process as well as making point-of-sale related materials, delivery site-specific information available wirelessly to the representatives. The data synchronization process makes use of the standard object interface of the MobiLink connector, making sure to deliver accurate and up to date information from Navision to the Distiller system via the SQL Server Integration Service.

The project was designed with future-proofing in mind from the ground up, so that expanding to other mobile clients would be a seamless process.

Users at Primagaz have been using the new MobiLink system for more than a month as of publishing and from the feedback, the new MobiLink and Distiller system had an overwhelming impact on the company’s sales effectivity.

New Report “Companion Biomarkers in Drug Development” available through Aarkstore Enterprise

September 8th, 2009

The term “companion biomarker” means that a particular diagnostic test is specifically linked to a therapeutic drug either in drug development or in the clinic. Biomarkers of disease have long played an important role in diagnostic medicine as evidenced by the intense use of specific clinical laboratory tests in the diagnosis of disease. Biomarkers can be used in five very distinct ways in drug development: 1) companion biomarkers can be correlated with biological events during drug development in order to validate drug targets or to predict drug response; 2) biomarkers can be used as companion diagnostics in drug development to characterize patient populations in order to better understand the extent to which new drugs reach intended therapeutic targets can alter proposed therapeutic pathways and achieve successful clinical outcomes; 3) biomarkers can be used to stratify patient populations for drug response in primary prevention or disease-modification studies, particularly in specific clinical areas such as neuron degeneration and cancer; 4) clinically useful biomarkers are becoming increasingly useful to make proper therapeutic decisions regarding candidate drugs; and 5) clinically useful biomarkers are becoming increasingly required by the FDA and other outside authorities to make proper regulatory decisions regarding candidate drugs. This report describes new biomarker technology platforms developed for the analyses of drug targets that are connected to the effectiveness of therapeutic agents in a clinical setting. The emphasis is on those companies that are actively developing and marketing new companion diagnostic tests for performing biomarker tests during drug development, as opposed to the more routine and clinically accepted companion markers that are manufactured and marketed by large diagnostic companies for routine clinical use.

New Senior villas will help fulfill demand in St. Charles County

July 12th, 2009

Press Release – July 10, 2009

St. Louis, Mo. – Rosemann & Associates, P.C. recently began construction on an independent senior living development in Wentzville, Mo. called Villas at Peruque Hills. The $3.8 million project is part of a larger development including single family homes called Peruque Hills Estates.

Developed by GHL Development, an affiliate of Gundaker Commercial Group who serves as the General Contractor, the Villas will be mixed affordable and market rate senior housing with funding provided by the Missouri Housing Development Commission (MHDC) and Bank of America. Construction is scheduled for a winter 2009 completion.

With 23 townhomes and 11 garden units, the Villas will provide needed affordable senior housing in St. Charles County which is currently named a disaster county by MHDC due to severe flooding in 2008.

“The Wentzville area is vastly expanding and there is a great demand for quality affordable housing in the region,” says Andrew Koenig, AIA. “Our team is confident this project will help fulfill the need but there is still more work to be done.”

Rosemann’s design concept coincides with the Universal Design methodology. According to the Universal Design Alliance’s website, UD is a “user-friendly approach to design in the living environment where people of any culture, age, size, weight, race, gender and ability can experience an environment that promotes their health, safety and welfare today and in the future.”

For the Villas, unit entries, bathrooms, kitchens, living rooms, and first floor bedrooms are fully accessible by wheelchair. All units include an oversized, attached garage allowing for someone with a physical disability to more easily access a vehicle. According to Koenig, the garages are a unique amenity not often found in affordable housing.

“Being an independent senior development, ease-of-use was extremely important,” says Koenig. ”With minor changes such as changing out some cabinetry and countertops and adding some grab bars we can easily convert units to be fully accessible. The townhouse unit staircases were also designed wider to accommodate a lift if necessary.”

About Rosemann & Associates, P.C.: Rosemann is a multi-disciplinary Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering and Planning firm committed to creating community design solutions. Since 1987, Rosemann has focused on designing the backdrop for life by actively studying how people live in the built environment.
