GTAW welding techniques are commonly used to weld thin sections of stainless steel and non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, magnesium and copper alloys. It is one of the consumable electrode techniques where the electrode and deposit are usually a filler wire. “GMAW is yet another important welding technique that is similar to GTAW and is being used by Weld Delux. GMAW stands for Gas metal arc welding and is also referred to as MIG (metal inert gas). It is a semi-automatic or automatic arc welding process in which a continuous and consumable wire electrode and a shielding gas are fed through a welding gun. A DC (direct or constant) voltage and DC current is commonly used to heat the wire to form an arc,” says Mr. Andrew Cooper
