TheEbookSale Publishing Newsletter Hits the 10,000 Subscriber Milestone 18 Months After Release

October 25th, 2009

TheEbookSale newsletter hits the 10,000 subscriber milestone.

Limerick, Ireland, October 21, 2009 — TheEbookSale Publishing, an Irish based eBook Publishing company, harnessed the power of email marketing 18 months ago. Since then, the subscriber list has hit 10,000.

Company President, Richie O’Brien, is delighted with the announcement and thinks that “This is a significant milestone for our publishing house”, and acknowledges that “email marketing and newsletters are fundamental to the success of any online business”.

So what are newsletters and why are they good for business?
A newsletter is a regularly distributed publication generally about one main topic that is of interest to its subscribers. Newsletters delivered electronically via email (e-Newsletters or eZines) have gained rapid acceptance for the same reasons email in general is gaining popularity over printed correspondence. They are published by businesses and companies to provide information of interest, upcoming events and company news to their members, customers or subscribers.

It is planned that our ebook newsletter will also be fully compatible with smartphones by our next issue later this October. “A higher percentage of subscriber use iPhones, Blackberry and other smartphones to surf the web, read emails and newsletters nowadays” states Richie, and if you do not stay abreast with the latest trends, your subscriber list will begin to suffer.

There are so many factors that can help or hinder the success of a newsletter. It’s important to use a short, simple and clean layout where you get to the point quickly. Remember, the newsletter is not just about you, it’s also about your subscribers. Get to know who shops in your store or needs your services and then tailor the newsletter to your clients and what they want. Mr. O’Brien adds that you must “write to express, not to impress” and that asking your subscribers for feedback is fundamental to understanding the needs that must be satisfied.

Delving into the backend of newsletter publishing is also very important. Analysis of delivery reports, tracking and geo-tagging can tell much about the strengths and weaknesses of the newsletter campaign. It will help to maximize subscriber pickup and more important, it will minimize the unsubscribe count.
To conclude, publish regularly and provide ‘Contagious Content’ to keep the loyal subscribers happy and to impress new subscribers so that they will hit that ‘forward to a friend’ button.

May 28th, 2009

RealTime Publishing author, James R Vance, releases the first of a Thriller Novel series called Killer Butterfly.

Limerick, Ireland, May 27, 2009 — RealTime Publishing Announces Killer Butterfly, the First Book of a Highly-Anticipated Thriller Trilogy from British Author James R. Vance.

RealTime Publishing, Inc. has published Killer Butterfly by James R. Vance, which is the author’s most recent book to date. The 6 x 9 Paperback in the Thriller/Mystery/Crime category is available worldwide on book retailer websites such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble, Borders for a suggested retail price of $16.95. Killer Butterfly is also available in multiple eBook formats from all the main online retail stores for $10.95.

The webpage at www.theebooksale.com/zen-cart was launched simultaneously with the book’s publication.

About the Book (Excerpts & Info):
“One day, my dear, one day you will be famous. Everyone will know your name. I feel it. I feel it now…a very strong sensation.”
She suddenly relaxed her grip, casting Petra’s hands away from her. The old woman grasped the arms of her chair and moaned once again, swaying back and forth. Abruptly she stopped and leaned towards the crystal ball. Her hands stroked the spherical contours of the glass without touching it. Bending her shoulders forwards, she peered intently at the ball. Petra tingled with anticipation.
“Your life is like a book. It has a beginning, middle, and an end. There will be many, many men in your life, but only three of any importance. Each will influence one of the stages of your life. One of these men will be good for you, one you should be extremely wary of, the other one–” (Chapter 1, page 13)

This is a Crime thriller that centers around Petra, a teenage rebel who sets out to fulfil her destiny of fame and fortune. As she searches in vain for her prophesised fame she becomes the victim of the evil face of humanity. Vicious assaults, sadistic serial killings and a bizarre twist of fate combine to create this powerful Mystery Thriller.
Vance’s obvious passion for the thriller genre is apparent through his succinct and descriptive writing that has the readers as involved in the story as the characters. He takes a risk letting the reader in on the antagonist’s point of view, but he balances it with logical questions, answers, and assumptions the protagonist uses while working to solve the case. He balances dialogue with narrative without wasting a word.

Deftly constructed at 280 pages, Killer Butterfly is being aggressively promoted to appropriate markets with a focus on the Thriller/Mystery/Crime category. With Global wholesale distribution through Ingram, Barnes & Noble, Baker & Taylor, Books a Million and Borders, and pervasive online availability through RealTime Publishing’s online store TheEbookSale, Amazon and elsewhere, Killer Butterfly meets consumer demand through both retail and library markets with a suggested retail price of $16.95 and $10.95, respectively.

Boosting you book sales on the web with podding

May 21st, 2009

Podding is a simple and effective way of increasing book sales on the web by teaming up with a specialist publisher like DragonCub (http://www.dragoncub.com/books/index.php).

Podding is a new term coined to describe a relationship between an author and a ‘print on demand’ publisher.
Instead of would-be authors becoming collectors of rejection slips from agents and traditional publishing houses, a podding agreement will let a writer cut out all the middlemen and go to a podding publisher, who will take a manuscript, edit and format the text ready for firing out paperback or hardback copies as soon as the orders come in.

A podding partner like DragonCub (http://www.dragoncub.com/books/index.php) will also help with marketing the book, but because podding cuts the overheads, writers earn up to 80% royalty on each sale.

Writers can also help themselves sell more books online with these five simple steps:
-Teaming up with a podding partner like DragonCub (http://www.dragoncub.com/books/index.php)

-Set up a website – call the site .com. This is easy to do with a blogging tool called WordPress. Then, write one or two articles a week for the blog and link the blog to your to your book’s sales page on the podding site.

-Let people know about the blog by setting up accounts on social networking sites – the type of site depend on the target market the book is aiming at.

-Join forums and online communities that specialise in niche knowledge and offer free articles based on snippets of the book in return for links back to a personal site or the podding publisher’s sales page.

-Politely ask any readers who comment on the book to post their comments on the publisher’s sales page. Reader recommendations are valuable resources that drive sales.

The objective is to raise the profile of a book by raising the profile on the internet. Every site that carries one of an article, blog or comment with links back to the publisher’s sales page makes a book easier to find for interested readers.

Readers are out there – writers just need to team up with online publishing experts like DragonCub (http://www.dragoncub.com/books/index.php) to help find them.
