34% of women would swap their guy for Cheryl Cole’s wardrobe

February 17th, 2010

Research by the UK’s fastest growing independent celebrity fashion website has found that a large amount of women would swap their relationship for a celebrity’s wardrobe.
In a new study by http://www.MyCelebrityFashion.co.uk of 1,206 women aged 18-30 it has been revealed that 34% of them would trade in their partner if it meant they could own Cheryl Cole’s wardrobe.
When asked which celebrity’s wardrobe they would swap their guy for, only 0.5% of participants chose Fearne Cotton’s wardrobe, whilst almost 20% opted for Lady Gaga’s style.
MyCelebrityFashion profiles the fashion of many celebrities including Cheryl Cole and has found an increase in interest for her contemporary yet classy style.
When asked why they liked Cheryl Cole’s style, the majority of participants, 52%, commented that they liked her strong Newcastle roots and background.
The top five celebrity wardrobes according to the participants, by the percentage who said they would swap their partner for them:
1. Cheryl Cole – 34%
2. Lady Gaga – 20%
3. Kate Moss – 8%
4. Dannii Minogue – 5%
5. Victoria Beckham – 4%

The bottom five:
1. Fearne Cotton – 0.5%
2. Katy Perry – 0.3%
3. Lindsay Lohan – 0.2%
4. Peaches Geldof – 0.1%
5. Madonna – 0.1%
With the importance of role models ever-important in the fashion industry, this study shows that the public are more likely to favour celebrities they can relate to such as Cheryl Cole, over Victoria Beckham who has recently declined in popularity on the site. However her other half David Beckham still remains a firm fashion icon, although he has less competition from the male fashion scene.
Speaking about these latest findings, Andy Barr, Marketing Director of http://www.MyCelebrityFashion.co.uk said:
“I think these results prove how important the role of celebrities in fashion has become, although I was surprised by the lengths women would go to achieve their dream wardrobe.“
He continued;
“It’s fascinating to see that women would want to wear the more controversial clothing of stars such as Lady Gaga. The fashion industry is going through so many changes, I think the best way to find out about them is from celebrities.”

41% of people would rather go withou their partner for a week than the internet

February 12th, 2010

The UK’s fastest growing shopping website has released the results of its latest research, which show that 41% of people in a relationship would rather go without their partner for a week than the internet.

New research commissioned by one of the UK’s fastest growing shopping websites, www.OffersSupermarket.co.uk, of 1,923 people in a relationship has revealed that just over two fifths of the respondents would rather be without their other half for 7 days than be parted from the internet.

OffersSupermarket.co.uk asked those who favour the internet over their loved one, why they would make that choice. 36% said they had a fear of being cut off from their friends and family via the internet for that amount of time, whilst 1 in 5 said that being cut off from news and current affairs would be too much to bear. 11% unashamedly admitted they needed the internet more than their partner, whether it was down to work or just personal use.

A further 24% said they could use their computer to contact their partner anyway if they had to be parted from them instead and 8% claimed the internet was more reliable than their partner.

The study also found that 1 in 5 if the respondents would be more upset if they lost or misplaced their computer or laptop than if they were dumped by their partner and 18% claimed their computer held more memories in terms of photos, emails and video footage, than their relationship.

Other findings from the study included 85% of the people asked saying that their relationship would be negatively affected if they didn’t have the internet to keep in touch with their partner on a day-to-day basis and 67% said they felt more loved if they received an email from their other half.

Of the 41% who said that they would rather go without their partner for a week instead of going without the internet, 57% said that they would miss social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter the most, whilst 22% said that they couldn’t live without their daily emails.

Eve Atkins, Managing director of OffersSupermarket.co.uk said;

“Once people get used to the luxury and practicality of having the internet to hand, it’s pretty difficult to learn to go without it for a day, let alone a whole week! I think our findings here demonstrate the value of a computer and the internet to people in society today and the fact that a fair few would rather go without their partner for a week than be without the internet is quite surprising.”

She continued, “For those who would be more upset to lose their PC than be dumped, I think that has little to say about the relationship and a lot to say about the computer.”

But it’s something they never have to worry about when they join Devil Called Love, whose catch line is “No Credit Card Required.” Members enjoy all the features of a paid dating service without any of the monthly costs.

It’s one of the reasons that Devil Called Love has rapidly established itself as a major player in the online dating sector and has earned a glowing reputation as one of the best online dating services available. The matchmaking site has received plenty of praise for the simplicity and rapidness of its sign up-processes. Users simply register, create their profile, browse others and start making contact. This has proven popular with time starved singles that already have very busy lives.

New members or even guests are greeted with simple search criteria chosen with drop down boxes e.g. sexual orientation, from which country, between the ages of and so on and this takes them to the relevant profiles. If a member is looking for someone more specific they can use the advances search which includes keywords and statuses such as if they are a smoker or what religion they follow.

DevilCalledLove.com has also launched a Forum section where singles can discuss dating relationships, romance and other issues that are important to them. Anyone is able to browse the site, user profiles and the forums but they must be registered and logged in to Devil Called Love to make contact with other members. The site also prides itself on weeding out spammers and scammers to make the dating experience a good one.

It has been estimated that 50 million singles in the United States and another 10 million in the UK browse an online dating website in the past 12 months and Devil Called Love is making major inroads into those markets. But those are not the only countries that are attracting the attention of this increasingly popular and high profile dating service. Singles in the highly competitive 18-35 age bracket are also flocking to the site from India, Germany, France, Italy, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines.

The increasing popularity of Devil Called Love has also been reflected in its surge up the rankings on popular search engines such as Google, Yahoo and MSN. Devil Called Love can now be found on the first page for many highly popular dating keywords (often in the No 1, 2 or 3 position) like “free dating website”, “100% free dating sites”, “free love dating site”, “100% free love” and dozens of other highly competitive terms.

Promatching.com – New Online Dating Site Offers Free Services

April 29th, 2009

logo1Individuals who are looking for love, romance or just friendship now have a unique resource that can help them discover their future soul mate: Promatching.com. Unlike most online dating and matchmaking Web sites, Promatching is strictly designed for serious daters—and it’s 100-percent free to join.

The new online dating and matchmaking Web site combines the latest technology with targeted marketing research to provide a user-friendly portal geared to meet the distinct needs of today’s daters. And because the site aims for quality rather than quantity, it is available only in a select group of countries: the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia.

Although complex technology drives Promatching, the online dating site is simple and easy for users to navigate. Users can register, browse, search and contact other singles absolutely free. There is also no charge for members to upload a photo with their profile. A control panel enables users to customize preferences based on their individual requirements. The control panel also blocks undesired contacts for users’ convenience.

“We developed the products and services with the users’ requirements in mind, so that they receive accurate results,” CEO Kam K said. “Our services are mostly automated to keep the system clean from irrelevant, unwanted content that can hinder users’ matchmaking experience.”

Promatching offers a variety of advanced features that are not normally available in typical online dating and matchmaking Web sites. It employs sophisticated matchmaking algorithms to ensure users receive the exact results that fit their search preferences. “For example, if a user is searching for matches in Ottawa, Ontario in Canada, he/she will be able to get the results only for Ottawa in Ontario, Canada—not from Ottawa in Ohio in the United States,” K explained. “So, the search results are highly accurate.”

In addition, Promatching offers an advanced built-in mailbox system with dynamic features that make it easy for daters to interact with each other. The mailbox simplifies the task of managing messages that have been read, unread and replied to. This makes it convenient for members to keep track of their exchanged messages and maximize their potential love interests. Promatching also provides access to online dating tips, articles and services. More features will be added in the near future.

Promatching is the ultimate resource for single men and single women who want a clean, safe and comfortable environment to connect with individuals from the opposite sex. For more information about the unique online dating and matchmaking Web site, please visit www.promatching.com.

New Website Is the Perfect Marriage of Traditional Dating and Online Technology

www.ResumesForRelationships.com

If you’re at a networking event looking for a business relationship, you’d most likely hand out your business card to potential partners and associates. So if you’re looking for a romantic relationship, it only makes sense that you’d hand out your “relationship resume” to potential mates.

That’s the way Sabah Green, founder of ResumesForRelationships.com, looks at it. She recently launched the site to enable singles to create their own relationship resumes. Singles also can create E-cards that can be customized and printed out, then handed out – in person – to those who catch their eye. The E-card reads, “Check out my Personalized Resume @ ResumesForRelationships.com,” and instructs the recipient to log in with a profile ID number and password that provide access to the stored resume.

“It’s all about the eye contact,” says Green, who describes her concept as bringing people back to traditional dating … but with an online twist. “It’s a great ice-breaker.”

Here’s how it works:

– Single create an online resume with free setup.

– Subscriptions run for one month at $9.95, plus an additional week at no cost.

– After the 37 days have expired, the resume is hidden on the site until the monthly fee is paid again.

“Unlike other online dating sites, we do not use automatic billing,” says Green. Her business philosophy is the same as her dating philosophy: Be honest and straightforward. “After my divorce, entering the singles scene again was a bit nerve-wracking, to say the least, so I created a service that embodies my philosophy.”

While ResumesForRelationships.com is a fresh, new approach to meeting one’s mate, Green still is quick to emphasize the traditional approach as well – the importance of making personal connections all year round. “You never know where you might meet someone. It could be at the corner coffee café or the cleaners,” she explains. “With an E-card to hand out inviting someone to view your relationship resume at our site, you’re good to go.”

The resume itself is very in-depth, with questions ranging from light (“What are your hobbies?”) to serious (“Are you fearful of commitment?”).

Her words of advice? “Get out there and find joy, happiness, and much love in your journey of finding your perfect mate!”
