Redrock Sales and Marketing Recognize Economic Upturn

April 29th, 2010

(March 22, 2010)  Redrock Sales as a company are recognising an economic upturn.  With so many statistics out there for people to read over and ponder, many of which are even conflicting in terms of the information that they convey. One would be entirely forgiven for thinking that the recession is actually over.  House prices are increasing, profits are returning on the institutional balance sheets and unemployment numbers have at least stop rising for the moment.  However, what does this mean for a company like Redrock Sales, a niche specialist sales recruitment business.  The question arises: has the industry turned the corner from the difficult trading conditions which impacted in the industry so hard in the year 2009?  An analysis of the company statistics offer certain indications of an upturn in the economy.

So what do the statistics reveal? The latest statistics are looking rather promising over all.  When viewing a reflective comparison between 2009 and 2010, the statistics offered by Redrock Sales first reveal that the new vacancies assigned are up by as much as 45 percent.  In addition, placement volume is up by 25 percent, and new applicant registrations are up by as much as 15 percent.  When checking into markets by vertical-increase in vacancy volumes, statistics reveal that the IT and Telecoms Sector are up by as much as 15 percent when comparing 2010 to 2009; the commercial sector is up as much as 10 percent, and that the technical sectors including engineering and manufacturing have witnessed increases as high as 20 percent.

Redrock Sales notes that while such figures related to the opportunities and volumes of opportunities indeed seems extremely promising and encouraging, there is still some difficulty involved when it comes to attracting the right kinds of applicants to fill the roles that are currently becoming available.  Due to, in part, hesitation  which is a direct result of a lack of confidence in the job markets, one will find a higher level of employee loyalty even when employees are genuinely frustrated with their current employment status or situation.  It is hoped that these fears and the lack of confidence in the job market will subside once people begin to recognize the upturn in the economy and the move toward economic stabilization.  Redrock Sales hopes that its own statistics will reinforce the fact that the markets are certainly on an upturn once again and that the future is looking brighter every day.

Redrock Sales & Marketing Helping Children in Need

April 26th, 2010

(March 22, 2010)  Mark Hadfield, Richard Murphy and James Grogan are three people from the company Redrock Sales & Marketing. They are in the process of heading for the roads and this trip is nothing about conducting business. These three men are hoping to raise funds for the “Help Toby to Walk Appeal.”  Toby is a five year old boy born with severe Cerebral Palsy and who cannot walk without the assistance of others. Toby attends school in Bristol with able bodied children and it is difficult to imagine what life is like for Toby, how hard it might be when he cannot join into a lot of fun activities with other children.

The three men from Redrock will be cycling, starting from the North of Wales and moving to the South of Wales in order to raise funding so that Toby can travel to America and get the operation he requires: an operation which is only offered to five percent of sufferers of Cerebral Palsy who are deemed able to be helped. Toby’s treatment will occur at a treatment centre that has, thus far, had a 100 percent rate of success in offering such an operation. In total, the community is looking to raise £36,000 which is desperately needed for Toby to have this life changing operation. They will be looking to complete their epic cycling journey in a period of three days, with only Mark having previously lands end to John o Groats.

To find out more information on this appeal or in order to sponsor the boys on their epic adventure, contact them at Redrock by calling 01170707987. Every offer for sponsorship will be gratefully received and well appreciated. If we work together we can make a massive and profound difference in Toby’s life. Your donations can make the difference in the life of a child: help bring more joy into the life of a five year old boy. To find out more information about Redrock Sales please visit: http://www.redrocksales.co.uk.

Major recruitment consultancy Advanced Resource Managers is celebrating winning the first ever Institute of Recruitment Professionals Award for People Development

January 19th, 2010

Thursday 26th November proved a night to remember for members of the ARM team attending the lavish IRP Awards ceremony in central London.

Hosted by broadcaster and former MP Gyles Brandreth, the ceremony saw 15 awards presented – the only industry accolades to be presented by the recruitment industry’s trade body.

Kevin Green, the REC’s Chief Executive, said of the awards: “This evening is just the start of a journey which could take between 10 and 15 years in realising our goal of professionalising the industry and attaining Chartered status.

“This all starts with the IRP members themselves; in giving them recognition and respect for bringing such value and high standards through their own individual capabilities.”

Kevin added: “The awards ceremony was the perfect way to show just how far we have already come in attracting people with the highest professional standards, dedication and commitment to the recruitment industry. We salute all the winners for their exemplary qualities and skills and wish them all well in their future careers and endeavours.”

ARM’s admired people development programme is the brainchild of Derek Goff (ARM Learning and Development Manager), Samantha Templer (ARM HR Manager) and Mike Gawthorne (ARM MD). Together with the ARM board and senior managers, they recognised that investing in staff development was the smart view to take in the face of stiff market competition, tough conditions and the need for a talented future resource pool within the company.

Mr Goff said, “To win such a prestigious award is a great honour personally, and a well deserved accolade to all staff at ARM who embrace training vigorously in pursuit of providing an excellent service to our clients and candidates. A special mention should also go to the Directors and senior managers at ARM who completely endorse and support L&D initiatives across the business.”

ARM are specialists in technical recruitment across a wide range of industry sectors including Rail jobs, Aviation, IT and Engineering to mention a few.

Good salespeople should act now to gain competitive advantage in a tough market

January 19th, 2010

In the world of Sales Recruitment, December is the month that we all dread: Companies delaying implementing recruitment programs until the new calendar year, festive parties taking priority over reviewing CVs, the market generally in wind down mode and a high volume of applicants applying for a relatively small number of vacancies. This year, the Sales Recruitment Team at Advanced Resource Managers has seen a shift away from that trend.

“ARM’s IT Sales Recruitment and Technical Sales Recruitment teams are currently assigned to a high number of Business to Business Sales Opportunities,” said Paul Fairclough, a Senior Consultant at the recruitment and training firm.

“Budgets have been approved, headcount confirmed, clients need the right individual in place yesterday and are encouraging us to send CVs and arrange interviews right up to the final mark of this calendar year,” he said. According to Fairclough, the only thing missing is the usual level of applicants.

After a testing year for many it appears that many high calibre Sales Professionals are using the run up to Christmas and the New Year as a period of recovery and are delaying identifying that next progressive career move.

This delay, whilst understandable, could be counterproductive for some. ARM expects high application volumes at the start of 2010 in line with a more positive outlook within the technical sales arena. If this is borne out, it will result in increased responses to vacancies and slower recruitment processes.

“My advice to all sales professionals looking for a new role or keeping a tentative eye open for that next challenge is simply this: you’re used to staying ahead of the competition, don’t forget that this can be a great time to gain that competitive advantage while other professionals may take their eye off the ball, however briefly,” Fairclough said.

ARM are specialists in Sales Jobs across a wide range of industry sectors in the technical recruitment market.
