Technology Is Hip and So Are Egypt Yellow Pages Electronic Products
November 3rd, 2009Cairo, Egypt – November 1, 2009 – Egypt Yellow Pages Ltd, the Local Search Company, has re-branded its electronic products, changing to Yellow.com.eg from YellowPages.com.eg, a move in line with what many other Yellow Pages publishers have done or are in the process of doing worldwide.
All television, magazine, newspaper, and billboard ads will bear the new Egypt Yellow Pages Ltd logo (to the right), as will the search company’s brochures, vehicles, business cards, and signs. However, its printed products will continue being branded as Yellow Pages.
“It’s time for change,” said Marc Lambert, Regional Managing Director for Egypt Yellow Pages Ltd. “Clearly, our future lies in electronic products in which the word ‘pages’ has little relevance conceptually. Pages are made of paper, and paper is printed by printers … hardly the words or processes that conjure up images of the fresh, new, exciting, dynamic direction of our business.”
A significant portion of the Egypt Yellow Pages Ltd user base is quickly shifting to electronic internet and mobile products, and the change fits the new, dynamic applications that the company is integrating into its electronic products. While print editions continue to be Egypt Yellow Pages Ltd’s biggest revenue generators, its electronic products are growing faster year-over-year than its print products, and will surpass print revenues in the near term. This pattern is well in line with an ever-growing worldwide trend of local search users turning to electronic directive mediums for accurate and up-to-date business listing information.
The Egypt Yellow Pages Ltd print products will continue to develop and progress as long as there is a market for them.
