Will Free Become Cool Again in 2010?
January 4th, 2010We see a year ahead of old fashioned prudence in which companies find ways to spend less but prosper more. In 2009, governments added liquidity to markets in crisis but 2010 is likely to be the year when they start to claw back some of this investment making it all the harder for us to throw cash at problems.
This is a new climate where free methods of getting your message across such as PR are likely to be more useful to you than advertising, and where the value of collaboration with others is realised.
At PRfriend, we are are testing out free as our new business model to the limit for 2010. For unique press releases, we offer free publication on this site. We also offer a Local Press Release publication service that is free and also without charge an article publication service for unique articles that will help you to establish yourself as an expert in your field.
Our thinking behind this is to build co-operation and goodwill with companies. We know that in business, the more you give, the more you receive even though we do not yet know exactly where this strategy will lead.
You are likely to be planning out your own strategies for 2010 right now. I would ask you therefore to give as much consideration to how you can establish your credibility and goodwill in the market as to how you can make a bigger profit. In this environment, good reputation and goodwill has to precede success. Success will come from helping your customers to succeed and this should therefore be your absolute priority.
I wish you you a happy, frugal and successful 2010 in which you are obsessed with what you can do for your clients.
